Craig The Crag, My hats off to ya,

I read all about it last night.

Fall, 2011 -- On August 9, 2011, the Hood River County Sheriff’s Office (HRCSO), with assistance from several local and regional search organizations, successfully concluded the search for 28-year-old Pamela Salant of Portland. Salant, who had been missing for four days in the Mt. Hood National Forest near Bear Lake, was located from the air by a National Guard helicopter. She was injured but successfully airlifted from the scene, aided by ground personnel from the Crag Rats, a Hood River County based mountain rescue team.

The search, which gained national attention, was a testament to the hard work and dedication of volunteers who help Sheriff’s Offices around the state carry out their search and rescue operations on a daily basis.

Assisting the HRCSO with the search were the Crag Rats, Pacific Northwest Search and Rescue, and Multnomah County.

Good Job, If we ever meet up the first round will be on me!

As for this thread I have decided not to post anymore Hiking pictures (for awhile) Even though I started it. I think it is moving the thread in a direction away from the spirit of ADVRider. But I don't want to discourage anyone from posting pictures of anywhere. Share whatever you want. I would highly recommend Cutthroat lake for a ride/ hike. Ride over Washington pass then change your boots and make the 30-40 minute hike to a beautifull lake. Just be sure to do a R/H-R. And I had no Idea where Bear Lake or Lindsey Creek was. But now I know. Maybe I'll check it out someday. So keep it up! and as for me, I'll be Posting my favorite Moto adventure destinations.

I guess I'm up now, so I'll be back in a while with the next photo.

Looks a little like a section of road we were on going to Troy.

Looks like you made a fast stop there, so not two up & no one on your tail... Two fuel bottles so not near home, that opens this up a bit. Six pack in the river but only one on the table? Late afternoon photo maybe? I'll take a guess that the road is on the north side of the river and it's flowing East to west, unless it's early morning! Not around Troy or the Grand Ronde river, no Ponderosa.

Have to think on this one a little.
