No wilderness. One road. A big snowmobile area. We rode past it on the Overdose Ride, but no-one even slowed down.

I just got the battery in my bike and fingers are just starting to thaw. It snowed here a bit this morning. Decided to wait till tomorrow, to ride. Hope I can make it south.

Fish Lake

Not Fish Lake.

It is Crater Lake, below Crater Mountain. On the Freezeout Ridge Road (301).

It's above freezing and I'm heading toward French Creek on the Salmon. If you don't hear from me in a couple weeks send out a posse. Dump my ashes off the north side of Simmons Peak (in the Red Ives District of St Joe Forest)

Not St Joe Lake. About a days ride away, but looks similar.

This is St Joe Lake



Still a nice round lake, but less trees. This was the end of July and we still were blocked by snow in some areas. We hiked into St Joe Lake.

I could ride trail to the viewpoint of the lake in question, but the trail down that mountain was beyond my skills.

I see you broke out the ole slides and pics from the ride that "You, Tim and Mike" took.....
I will have to say....... you missed out on some good grub on Christmas..... But dont worry, I still have leftovers... lol

I am going to pass the torch to you on this one. Rocky and I am currently in Goldfield NV with a really poor internet connection and I can't really keep track of this thread right now. Tomorrow we plan to ride around this area and then move south to southern Death Valley for the rest of the week.

Will be having to much fun riding in the warm weather to really take care of keeping up with this thread for now.

Hopefully in the evenings, I will be able to post a ride report of each days riding.
