![]() Before I post my challenge picture I will give you a few from the place Drone was at for his pic. Here's the view from the hillside I hiked up to grab a geocache: ![]() I think this is the rock in Drone's picture: ![]() And if you hike back down the right way you can find some flowers along the way: ![]()

Looks like the aftermath of the School Fire in the Blues.
My guess is off of the 4022 rd NW of Clearwater LO. Near the "Wheatfield geocache" ?? |

and we were in a hurry to beat the daylight. We got back to Enterprise around 11pm after our asrvivor fiasco that night. That is a GREAT series of roads to ride in a hurry !! As fast as we could ride it .....it was a sweet uphill ride. But, I missed all these sights. I think it would be a GREAT series of roads to ride again,........ when I'm not in a hurry

eastwa it's not in the Blues and there's not a cache at this location.
Drone, you're close at least as in the big picture close.... I-90 is down there some where and it is N. Idaho. See if you can Narrow it down a bit more. I really don't need the road name/number the closest town would be good.

For you other guessers, I think we can assume that the pic was taken in the summertime due to lack of snow, and by looking at the clouds it sure looks like we are looking in a generally southward direction. So you are somewhere north of I-90. Yes? |

Yes, North of I-90.
This is one of the roads I took to get there. ![]() And this is another view from either the same spot or very close to it.

You said the nearest town, huh? And you didn't bite on Silverton when I mentioned it, and somebody else said Wallace and got no reply. And you say you're north of I-90? So I go to my Benchmark map and there doesn't seem to be ANY towns north of I-90--there are only things that look like "places" but not towns.
So now I go to Google Maps satellite images and check out these places to see if any looks like a town. Pritchard--no--it has a tavern and that's all. Gem--no--there's nothing there. Burke--no--there are quite a few buildings there but I looked it up and it's a ghost town. Murray--oh! oh! there's a Post Office in Murray! That makes it a town. I guess Murray. |

Drone, you have gone to a lot of work and all those places are considered towns by the people that live there, even though they are small and considered ghosttowns. I did ride through Burke on the way to where I ended up.
![]() Here's a picture of the town I'm looking for: ![]() I'm surprised The Tourist hasn't popped in and identified this location.

Oh, look, there are flags flying in Burke! Yup--definitely people there.
Well that town in the new pic looks like its down there in the river bottom next to the interstate, and the only town we haven't guessed is Mullan. And that town looks like it's mostly on the north side of the interstate and Mullen is mostly on the north side of the interstate, so . . . . Mullan. |
