If you have a clean machine, yank the drive, plug it in to the clean machine via USB, scan with MWBytes/antivirus then put it back, safe mode w/networking, run the same scans again, and again, and again. I fix a few of them with this method.

I hear ya. I've already pulled most of my stuff off and put it on some flashdrives. I need to get one more to get my music off. I can't burn a disc right now, either. I can read a disc but not burn.

I collected it off something really inocuous. Been to some helper computer forums. No solution, yet.

I'll probably have to wipe the computer and start over.

One funny thing is my screen expanded. I'm running on a reduced screen and the edges are curved.

Weird.

I haven't been up that trail yet, but hope to hike it this summer. Here's a pic from the lookout off White River Road.

We headed toward Naches that day instead of Stampede. Lots of great views in that area.
