I usually try not to take pleasure in the misfortune of others. There but for the grace of God, and all that.

However, I shall enjoy every second of Red Bulls' struggles this season. Vettel's outburst in Malaysia reaffirms his pissy little front-running, spoiled-brat persona.

And Helmut Marko is an enormously unlikeable creep. His dishonest treatment of Webber comes to mind. Now we hear he has dispatched "team managers" to dress-down HRT and Marussia, so they won't upset his precious little Vettel anymore.

I envision Vettel spending his off days curled up in Marko's lap like a little pet dog, being stroked on the head and told how wonderful he is.

There's a mental image that won't go away anytime soon.

The link you are quoting here is about the RB8 launch pre Melbourne, nothing about updates addressing the issues from Melbourne or Sepang...

and here I thought it was updates to the exhaust before China... then I looked at the date.
I'm sure they will be updating the car.

Not to delve back into it so I'll be brief, but it looks like an F1 protester was killed by police in Bahrain yesterday. Former F1 champ and BRDC President, Damon Hill had a few comments suggesting holding the race this year would not be a good idea. Expect this to hot up again as we approach the late April race weekend. My gut says that it will be cancelled again.

It's starting to emerge as a story in the non-F1 media.

F1 is putting a big, fat bullseye on its back if it races in Bahrain. It will make itself a natural target for the disenfranchised and aggrieved majority population. What better way to tell the world that things aren't OK in Bahrain, than to disrupt a high-profile event like F1? The reason the monarchy is so eager for the race to run as planed is to project an air of normalcy, of stability. That puts F1 smack dab in the middle of their turmoil. It should decline the invitation.
