It is refreshing to see different grids.

Hey, if Fred can win in the Ferrari barge, why not Kimi in his truck?

'Bout as big a threat as Alonso in Maylaysia.

It's appears it will be an exciting season for real F1 fans.

If the season so far is any indication it will go way further down the line before a champ is crowned.

It looks like a Jenson Button race win to me. He's got the racecraft and tire-conservation skills to beat the Brawn Mercede and the tire-wear problem on the Brawns might mean an extra pit-stop. I can also see Schumi trying to pinch Rosberg at the first corner, but in post quali interviews he's being polite about Nico, so maybe he won't rear tire-nerf Nico's front wing. Kobayashi is the wild-card here: Saubers have been good on tire-wear. I see Nico second, Kimi third, Hamilton Fourth, and Schumi fifth. Or maybe Massa will swoop in and beat everyone??

Can't have that. So Newey trots out a second solution, closer to last year's design, in an attempt to placate Helmut Marko and his pet poodle. But it's slower. Tee hee! Vettel bounced in Q2. Extra chew toys and soothing strokes on the head in the Red Bull motor home tonight, to take little Sebastien's mind off of things.

Yeah, this can't be healthy for me. I gotta ease up on the lap dog.

I love to watch Kobi attack but it sure seems like he can't defend. He'll get lost in the shuffle at the start.

If this is the new F1 sign me up. Okay, so the winner ran away with it but very entertaining race. Hamilton seems to be quietly confident and is almost at the cucumber zone coolness that is Button (talking of which shame about his pit stop, he might have caught the Mercedes).

Vettel getting soundly beaten by Webber is shocking and I reluctantly have to admit that Rak daddy still has it even if he couldn't manage his tires.

We'll see if Bahrain actually happens

Most excellent and entertaining race! Tension throughout, even for the lead, until poor old Button had a bad pit stop.

I dunno what Mercedes changed, but somehow they didn't kill their tires and were able to maintain their pace. Really good to see Mercedes and Rosberg win one. What a shame Michael's left front wheel was such a problem. The wrench man never even got his gun onto the new tire when they released the car. Snafu!

Being a Vettel-hater, I was gnashing my tooth when his pit strategy dumped him into second. Did my heart good to see the McLarens and his teammate pass him.

What an improvement by Williams. Both cars faster than Ferrari! A disappointing outing for Sauber, who had such promise.

I wish TV coverage had a graphic showing us how many laps each car has on its tires. In a race like this, it would really help to know who's been out long and who hasn't. Once the pit stops start, it's hard to track the top 10.

Let's all chip-in and buy Will Buxton a dictionary of superlatives.

I don't think it was his fault. First, they had big problems getting the tire off. Maybe the nut had been cross-threaded on the previous stop? Then, they released the car before he could even get his wrench into the new tire.

Wow, that was an actual race. With real passing. Sounds like F1 has started to get the formula close to right. Or they need to keep changing the rules to keep the teams guessing on setup.

Webber beat Vettel, Button beat Hamilton. And someone else won. All is right with F1.
