Ah, last I saw they had two out of contract drivers. Thanks for the update.

{edit}
So just two more seats up for grabs I guess, Ruben's old ride at Williams and Liuzzi's at HRT.

Thanks for putting together the race results, Greg. Sutil did better in the first half than I remembered. I have to think that Force India, which doesn't like to pay its bills and is notoriously cheap, might be saving money by dumping a veteran like Sutil.

I guess I was thinking of qualifying, which is usually a truer test of teammates. Sutil started slow but finished fast. However, the margin was only occasionally large enough to justify what I suspect were Sutil's larger wages.

2010 Force India Qualifying

Sutil
16 17 11 12 17 15 14 19 11 8 8 15 12 9 11 10 8 9 8
DiResta
14 14 8 13 16 14 11 12 6 12 11 18 11 10 12 9 13 10 11

yeah... me too.
thing is when he beat di resta, he beat him by a gap, and when he lost it wasn't as much or they were both out of the points.

I think FI is being cheap, and that's the story.

New rules for overtaking and blocking.

Quote:
A driver may not deliberately leave the track without justifiable reason. More than one change of direction to defend a position is not permitted.

Any driver moving back towards the racing line, having earlier defended his position off-line, should leave at least one car width between his own car and the edge of the track on the approach to the corner.’
Sounds clear. Early speculation is that the interpretation of "one car width" might be contentious. Also, a driver might drift slightly off the line and claim he wasn't blocking.

Personally, I like this. Gives the lead driver a chance to block but forces him to time and place his one blocking move very carefully.

Very sorry to hear that Williams has lost AT&T. Big blow. That poor team must really be scrambling for money.

While it looks good on paper, it is going to be hard to police. The first sentence has me scratching me head. ..... there are so many things this can be a bugaboo about.

This week, Red Bull Racing announced that S嶵astien Buemi would be their test and reserve driver this season.
Although our sister team in Milton Keynes will be the Swiss driver's top priority, if for any reason, Scuderia Toro Rosso found itself short of a driver at a grand prix, then S嶵astien would step into the cockpit for us.
The 23-year-old competed in 55 grands prix for Toro Rosso, since scoring points on his Formula One debut in Melbourne in 2009.

Wow. That sucks. Not sure if I could do that. Even NASCRAP would be better.

My first reaction was that they were once again talking about cutting chicanes during practice and qualifying. If not that, I don't know. Wheels over the white lines?
