Your timing sucks, dude. Its been hovering around 0 to -10 or so for the last two weeks. This morning its -24C and a frigid -37 when you factor in the wind chill.

Wishing you good health and a speedy return to your trip... and of course, enjoy your time back with the family!

Hope everything works out well when you return home and when you return to Oaxaca City take your wife with you for a little holiday.....it is a excellent place to spend sometime, great food and culture perfect for a second honeymoon.

Well Brian...kinda guessed the lonliness. Us guys still have the youthful adventure in us (root of midlife crisis?) but are family men and leaders in our work/community/church which starts to show up while on our adventures! Shorter adventures make sense. Some call them "vacations"! Having met so many Canadians in AZ and FL each winter (there is a reason there are only 126 people living north of the Can/US border ) I suspect you are only doing a recon for your family's retirement. Right?

I hope the trip back goes well, you get better and are able to continue.

Take care

Your big bro

You missed winter, right?

Hey BCBrian,
Hopefully by now you're almost home! It's great that you had already considered a break so that this was easy to arrange. It's not worth "pushing through" a dream adventure if you're not feeling totally into it!

A couple of months back home with wife, kids and beasts in the dark cold winter will put the adventurer back into you. It will all be waiting for you when you get back to Mexico in a few months!

Take care,
Mrs. SoSlow

Button up your overcoat.

I wish you the best and a speedy recovery. I just want you to know how much I have enjoyed your report. In a strange sort of way, you have become part of our family, as I am certain many others feel the same way. My wife asked me almost every nite if there is any news from BCBrian down in Mexico. We hope you feel better soon and know that we are thinking of you. Take care and get back south as soon as you can. Jim

I have to say that the pic of the flying/jumping lizard was one of a kind. Is a matter of being there at the right time. Also sad to hear about your brief travel pause. I hope you get feeling good as soon as possible so you can get out there again.

Later

Wishing you well

I also found out about this via the link on badweatherbikers and have really enjoyed it although I'm coming in late. I hope your medical issues settle down and the little break reenergizes you.

You did the right thing, man - if you're having a hard time or are concerned, best take care of it now so you can ride worry-free!

Have a safe trip home and get better soon!

Thanks again for posting a great RR - it was almost like being there... looking forward to the continuation!
