Just did a loop around the neighborhood now that it is finally dark and all I can say is that the light is fantastic!

Looks good Dan!
Would this mount up in the stock mask of the 510 ok? That looks stock on the 310 here, no? BuilderScott screwed with this post 01-25-2012 at 08:15 PM |

I can't say for sure. If you look at the pictures of the back of the mask you can see two screws, one on each side of the light. There is one other screw at the bottom center. If your stock mask has these screws or the mounting boss on the sides then the Squadron may mount to your stock mask. I know there is a difference in the mask on my 2010 310 and my buddy's 510. Mine had the stock 35/35 watt H4 lamp, my buddy's has the 6235 lamp. The headlight shapes are also different.

From the piccs thw 310 & the 510 masks look identical, might just be a charging system difference in the lamp they run.

Hey guys, That's awesome Dan we are glad to hear it, sorry it took so long for me to reply. What you have is actually post- production I am glad you are happy with it, but for any reason if you want the pre-production feel free to give me a call and I will have it sent to you. Builder Scott, we will have the mount for the stock mask on your 510 in about 4 weeks, sorry for the inconvenience, but I will keep you posted on the status. If you have any questions just let me know. Thanks, Gordon BD |

BD,
I would love something like that for my '05 XR650L, I would have to be careful to not blind too many drivers. ![]() Love your guys stuff. I had an old XR400 that had a baja kit. After years of abuse and being dropped, the turn signals finally quit working. I called your help line they dialed me right in, advised of the differences between the old kit and the new kit. I am happy to say that it was all plug and play. easy peasy.

Hey Lonestar,
That's awesome we are glad to hear it, for your XR650 the best option would be the Polisport shell that Yellow PIG has above, but I believe that you would have to do a Stator rewind in order to run the Squadron properly. What are you running right now? Thanks, Gordon BD |

Hey Bob I Just sent you a PM, but with that 260w stator you will have more than enough power, the Squadron pulls 44w and any other lighting(taillights) should not stress your stator.
Thanks, Gordon BD |

Gordon,
Thanks. I am going to wait until the dimmer is available and then it is time to rock. Hopefully before this n00b does DV in March.

Any news on a retrofit kit for your older headlight masks? Will the dimmer plug directly into a standard H4 plug allowing you to leave your stock wiring unmodified?
