Hello out there, hello Fliegenfischer,
in this link: http://www.atoc-moto.com/forumm/view...hp?f=12&t=1924
there is a blue TA with a fairing like the ones on the KTM Adventure LC 4 with ARAL written on it. I think, this is the most beautiful Transalp I've ever seen. It nearly makes me want one ... the number of bikes already assembled in my barn says: 'Not another one, there's enough work on us already!' And they're right. But very beautiful this bike is!!!
Kind regards, Bambi
PS: I didn't want to steal the pic as I'm no member of this forum and as I don't want to offend somebody. Perhaps you, being an in-mate there, are able to do so and show it to our friends here ... Thanks!

Hey Bambi - I tried to upload the photo (it's on p10 of your link), but Transalp pics won't show up in an Africa Twin thread

@stormforce: are you sure?

This is mine and it is a AFRICA TWIN RD03 (1988) and not a transalp. Transformation was done by SW Motech to save weight.

Simon

Well she a great bike to ride, fantastic two up touring. wife and I spent 3 month with her touring Europe and Morocco Aug to Sep 2011. Currently sitting in storage in Germany, and me trying to work out how best to import her back to Aussie land (not easy). Planning to ride her home via Magadan and ship to Vlad, then Korean. the freight to Australia.

43L Touratech tank, Ohlins rear shock, New progressive fork springs and Touratech panniers and touring rack.
Otherwise pretty std,

Cheers,
Stephen.
