There's no "Never take it off, doctors orders" option.

Thanks Dakez!!! It isn't any fun at all.

Here is a more recent photo with my wings exhausts. It sounds like a proper motorcycle now. Not obnoxious, but a nice throaty burble on decel, and half the weight of the stockers (minus the CATs too. so not as much heat as before.).

On the other side of the river is part of a local dirt track area. It mainly runs behind abandoned manufacturing sites, between old railroad tracks and the river some good whoops, and a bunch of other fast gravel, some hill climbs etc. Again, No fun at all!

I voted "yes", but I usually lock mine up in the tailbox or in a PacSafe helmet or duffel bag. If I don't lock it up, I take it with me. I don't leave it out in the open where pinheads can mess with it.

I hang it from the passenger foot peg if I am going to be insight of the bike. Otherwise I lock it to the helmet hanger. If its raining I take it with me since I hate putting a wet helmet on.

Hanger, the most of the time. I hate dirt on my helmet.

The helmet always stays with the bike.

I added helmet locks to my bikes so that the latch portion would operate vertically. I keep them in the unlocked position for fast temporary helmet hanging. When leaving the bike I close the latch.

Here's the helmet lock on the V-Strom:

And on the KLX (under the luggage rack):

Mine hangs on one of my mirrors. When at home it goes on the work bench.

Why? Do you like packing it around?

Mine mostly gets locked on top of my right system case, with a small cheap cable lock.

If I'm around, it goes on the ground.

A wiser, older rider once told me, "Your helmet can't fall off the ground."

Not especially, but I'm not wealthy enough to do otherwise. Are you? Or do you wear a ten dollar beanie?
