anybody have any suggestion for the dirtiest roads to the RDV2012 from the hendersonville/asheville area. i haven't been out that way at all. i do remember seeing some stuff around lake james and a little north that are on the list. getting all worked up

You could take days to get to LS from Asheville if you want to just ride the dirt roads. Will you be at the Wedge wednesday? I''l bring maps.

honestly, it makes it really hard for us if a bunch of you just show without paying and "don't eat and drink". We really don't want to police wristbands during dinner and kegs, so we would still charge if you are attending (which would include beer, coffee, live band, raffle, organized rides, and hopefully some food etc), the one thing we can not guarantee is a shirt in the right size (I can always get you a small ).

You can also just monitor the thread - there are always people dropping out last minute for various reasons, and you could just "buy" their spot.

I should know the week prior. My leave ends Friday and there is a chance I'll have to be back on sat, but I'm already finagling my way out of it.

I have a buddy in B'ham who's thinking about coming up too. He might need to bring his own keg!

these guys are picking up the ball and running with it, which takes alot of planning and effort on their part () as always has they're just trying to plan for everybody it ain't easy. this is the one rally i've ever been to that ya have to pay up 30 days in advance. it's money well spent alot bang for your buck. these guys are working hard as the "party boss" always did. just trying to keep it simple.

To all the maybe's and late deciders:

In the days leading up to the rally several folks will drop out. Sick, sick kids, sick dogs, work deadlines, wife realized what they were actually doing, butt hurts from alien probing, etc...

I should know, I cancelled the Thursday before the rally two years ago. It sucked, but there is such a thing as being too sick to ride 5 miles, much less 500.
