I think I'll pick up a bungie net and straps. I do have some little hangers on the rear of the frame, and I ride with an Icon pack on all the time. I'm just debating how/if I could/should pack my massive-ass tent, or if I should go the camper route. Given how it sounds, I'd kinda like to camp Freebornes, but I'm curious what the campers are like.

Also wondering if I should try getting a guitar in the mix. I'll probably get a little uncomfy if I take the quick way there with a giant sail on my back.

Screw the camping gear and just bring the guitar. Sleeping is over rated.

Just buy a $20 tent from Walmart for the weekend.

^This. There's a Walmart less than 20 miles away. You won't have to have it strapped on from home.

You guys are clever. The flying guitar is gonna be the tough part now. I can use this Backaxe thing to carry the case, but the wind is gonna suck, or blow.

Man I am completely gutted. Today I find out that Rick the Party Boss has passed away AND I'm a day late to sign up.
The wife and I came down in '10 and had a blast, Rick was just the friendliest, sweetest guy. We really wanted to come down but due to some messy schedules and other bullshit, we finally realized we could make it this year just last night.
Is it too late to send paypal payment? I understand if you already ordered shirts but I'd be happy to pay for a couple of glasses if you were bringing extra anyway.

to be honest, since I don't need to submit my shirt order till early Monday, I am totally fine with people signing up the next two days....

and yes, Rick was truly a special person

And, sent.
All the best to Rick's family, it will mean a lot to the wife and I to be able to raise a glass in Rick's memory.
Thanks again. All goes well we'll see you on the 17th with sore asses.

Guitar?

Let me know if you need a good guitar for a couple of days. My son lives nearby and I am sure you can borrow his. My wife is driving up Thursday night with our truck. We sleep in one of those fancy truck tents, but I have a Swiss Army tent that I will have with me since I am going to be at the Old Skool rally in Caruso the previous weekend.
