Yeah, I never saw him wreck a car. He must be some kind of perfect expert behind the wheel. In fact IIRC, I think that UPS car was showing its' underside after banging off the transition...... Probably could have saved them all when he watched it on tape.

Nice job Kurt Busch, taking out everyone anywhere near the lead so that the guy who was running 11th in turn 4 ultimately wins the race. What a POS, but at least he's consistent.

As we watched the end of the race, I was telling my buddy that these pack races are a complete crapshoot. With the predictable carnage at the end, skill seems like a secondary concern.

It's a stark contrast to the great, great finish at Atlanta last fall, when Gordon and Johnson dueled lap after lap and skill really did make a difference.

They are a crapshoot to a degree, but moreso in the middle of the pack. The leaders are usually pretty good at holding their lines. Yesterday, the leader squeezed the guys coming up on the outside into the wall. When the closing speed is probably 10 mph greater than the lead cars, that will always end in disaster.

I had the race on while I was doing other things. How anyone can find that crap compelling is beyond me. It certainly isn't racing (as opposed to the excellent Atlanta finish you posted). One of the circus barkers announcers uttered "Unbelievable!" after the third-straight late lap pile-up. Sure, it was unbelievable if by unbelievable you mean so predictable as to be a virtual certainty.
