Michigan will have a better chance if they don't let any of their quarterbacks throw

They do, there are a lot of them that are just as passionate.

It is true that College football is a type of religion here in the south though. And one for me, a UGA fan, that has been frustrating most my life. Though not nearly as bad as the folks from Vandy, Ole Miss, and Kentucky.

My Football teams are UGA, the Falcons, and the Chiefs. Am I glutton for punishment or what.

Dude, I grew up in Jacksonville and endured all of Dooley's tyranny. Graduated UF the year BEFORE Spurrier took over.....I still feel like the underdog (pun intended) in Jax.

....I'm mainly refering to this thread....all SEC. Wierd.

I endured the Spurrier days, and still refer to him as the Devil.

On the other part, idk, maybe they are tired of hearing about the SEC.

Tomorrow night officially kicks off the Football season, I feel like a kid at Christmas.

I got to watch three years of ron zook and then Meyer's first year. I should hate football.

I picked Hawaii... 40 points is a lot, and once the waterboys are in, it should even up.

The big line on why the SEC could be out of the championship this year is just the odds of them (us, I guess... that's still weird) beating each other up.

I actually picked USC. Kiffin seems like a ratings whore. If Alabama beats Michigan (we should assume it'll happen), they could potentially jump USC in the rankings. I think Kiffin runs up the score for two reasons: a)he's a dick b) to stay ranked #1. 40 pts should be nothing for this team; after all, this isn't the old June Jones Hawaii team.

Gee, I dunno. Try reading your own post as a hint. Who wants to get on here and have meaningful conversation on college ball with replies like that?

The question isn't why doesn't anybody else care, the real question is if we (in the SEC) have fun with it, why can't you guys do the same? I thought this was the basement?

I'm an SEC brethren. Check my location. Yeah, it's the basement. But it's not Yo Momma. I'm not the moderator. I don't care what anyone says on here. I'm just sayin with all of us SEC guys posting, people in other conferences will be more apt to post if its an actual conversation instead of slamming each others teams every other post.
I like talking college football, and there are a few teams that I don't like for one reason or another but I prefer to not turn my posts into the Paul Finebaum Show.

Sorry you are offended BB, note the smileys though meaning it is all in jest. I don't hate anyone....hell, I even think Lane Kiffen may actually know what he's doing now. I think you're a Bama fan so so you would know more about about the PF show than me. Just don't teabag while I'm sleeping OK . Some of us...me definitely...are a little excited about getting the season started. We even have what could be a good conference game tonight between highly touted USC and a better than usual Vanderbilt team.

Fans of teams from the "Big N" conferences are just as obnoxious as we are....maybe worse. OSU, UTexas and PSE have larger fan bases than any SEC school so I find it odd they are not represented here.

Until they show up, I will assume its that they just don't care as much ;-)

Non SEC topic: USC Trojans

They should easily cover the spread this weekend. With that said I'm not totally sold on USC deserving the lofty expectations. I feels to me like ESPN and other outlets are pushing the Trojans really hard because it's their first year bowl eligible again and they're not in the SEC. I do understand the SEC fatigue. They certainly have the starters to run with the big boys but they don't have any depth. A key injury or 2 and they'd be toast. If they get lucky all year with injuries and play big against Oregon and ND they'll probably get back to the NC game. Barkley should be fun to watch this year. They should light up the scoreboard against all the scrubs.
