I think you'd have to give that particular award to the one and only University of Miami.

Could there be a bigger mess?

"Updated: WVU may get sued by FSU for dropping game, too"

“We were informed in writing late Friday afternoon of West Virginia University’s intention to cancel its 2012 football game with Florida State University scheduled for September 8 in Tallahassee. We are disappointed for our coaches, players and fans that this game will not take place as originally scheduled. We now face the challenge of completing our 2012 schedule just seven months before the start of the season. We will work quickly and diligently to fill the hole on our schedule and will communicate with our season ticket holders and fans as the process moves forward.”
Evidently WVU is anticipating in the Big 12 and has to make room in the schedule by dropping FSU. Of course, their being sued by the Big East for pulling out. Sounds like a big mess for college football and evidently no one can step up and sort it out short of going to court.

Call FAU. I'm sure we're not busy that weekend.

So, USC is projected to be the preseason #1. Hard to believe anybody wouldn't put Saban #1 at this point, but there you have it.

It keeps them from having to re-do the poll after Bama plays Michigan.

If that happens, the SEC would have its most interesting year ever. Pandemonium. It'd be awesome.

Just when you thought realignment was over, Memphis to the BigEast.

This really is a trickle down effect. Your move, C-USA.

Not only Memphis, but Houston, SMU and UCF also. Maybe they ought to change the name to the the Big Eastern USA.

I root for the SEC, but this year was a snoozer. It'd be fun to see a three way tie in the west and a decent team or two in the east.

I didn't rule out Miami, and don't disagree, but they've been hit with multiple NCAA violations and sanctions over the years that have contributed to their problems. UGA has, for the most part, been a clean program that has had consistently good recruiting classes during Richt's tenure. There is something wrong in the player development program at UGA.

Saban still has a great LSU team and Arkansas in their own division. They certainly can do it, but USC simply has a much easier path.

LSU needs a quarterback, get one, and then we can talk about paths.
