I took him to be a win at all costs arse. I think the vast vast majority are at that level. Respect their drive, but don't put them on pedestals.

It also appears from your post that reading comprehension is not one of your big selling points. You equated douchebaggery with character and morals, and I'm just wondering how you got there. My contention is that you can have a lack of character and morals and not be a douchebag. Paterno was certainly lacking in C&M, but he never demonstrated douchebaggery that I am aware of.

As for me wanting to scrap college football because Texas is on a losing streak? Please reread what I wrote a couple of times and hopefully it'll become clear to you.

And seriously, do you drink while posting? How in the hell do you get to: "You're equating refusing to retire to harboring a child molester? Want to go down that road pal?"

Sorry.

Tangent.

Guys, whether its some pseudo intellectual gypsy in an RV, or some woman complaining that the#2 team in the country doesn't 'feel' right, I think the time has come for me. I simply don't need this anymore. This is the first debate I can think of this season, and it's about whether someone is a 'douchebag'.

In years past, I would pour over my key board and argue with you two, but I've really lost the will and the drive to keep doing this.

Well, this pseudo intellectual gypsy is really looking forward to the LSU v TAMU game this weekend. I'm taking TAMU and the points!

You mean other than Miami fans .

Muschamp doesn't come off as "douchey" to me. He's a football geek and very focused on his job..that's all. I think that they're still a year away from being all there, but this season has been a pleasant surprise so far.

He is a bit excitable

Get over it and yourself, NS. You are taking this all far, far too seriously.

Hugs and kisses.

Couldn't agree with your sentiment more. I still think we have some pretty glaring weaknesses, but, as you said, it's been a long strange enjoyable trip. I agreed somewhat with Linzi last year, but since he has simmered down a bit this year (still a bit excitable) he's starting to grow on me.
Funny thing is, just over a week ago after the USCe game against UGA, I was saying how much I still likes Spurrier. After his comments after the LSU game about his QB it took me back to Terry Dean and some not so good times. Still love him, but that was uncalled for.

Steve Spurrier will always be the greatest Gator. There's been some good quotes this week from former coaches....Lot's of Gator Love

Quote:
Feelings about returning to Florida.
Florida is always going to be my school. I love Florida. My wife, my daughter and even Steve (Spurrier) Jr. got a graduate degree from there. We're Gators, but we're Gamecocks now. When my coaching days are over, I'll be more of a Gator then. I'm a Gamecock now and this is our team. I hope the Gators finish second in the East this year, that would be a good finish for them. hope we finish first. They're having a very good year. I like Will Muschamp, Jeremy Foley and the guys down there. We're still good friends. Healthy competition.

With Tennessee, the jokes write themselves..

A man robs Walmart to pay off a bet he lost on Tennessee last week.

Alabama is in town this week to play Tennessee, and I've been quietly snickering at all of the redneck jokes thrown around by Tennessee fans. Because, really, it could go either way*.

*I love Tennessee. It is a great state with great people. But, seriously...
