I believe they set the record for average points per game as well. Then they finally meet an elite defense in the MNC game - Florida this time - and they manage all of 14 points. Same story every time.

If things go as expected it looks like we'll be able to see the ducks lay a big against Alabama come January......of course that's just my opinion, and that's why we play the games.

Thus far best D has beaten best O.

I do think Sabin is whining though. And setting up excuses in case he loses.

I said "elite" defense....Not "SEC" defense. 2010 Auburn was NOT an elite defense.

Of course Oregon still lost that game. They did beat Tennessee in Derek Dooley's first game.....I guess that's your street cred against the dreaded SEC

I would love to see Oregon beat Alabama. I'm not a Bama fan. It won't happen though. They are in a completely different league....pun intended.
Alabama has a great D, no doubt. But rankings are tough when they generally play against a different style of offense.

Just to stir the pot, how is 'elite' defined? Points allowed? Ok, but I don't think their interceptions or sacks are anything special.

We can also turn the question around that was posed to Oregon - what great offenses has Alabama faced?

Maybe, but Oregon is going to have to get their hands on the ball. Alabama can bet the hell out of you while eating up the clock. I don't think he is really worried. He just wants to keep his kids humble and thinking they need to be on their toes. What else is he going to say? "We are the greatest team ever and we know it?" Not his style. He is always acting like you stole his puppy after winning the lottery. Just his nature.

Does Nick Saban actually have sand in his vagina about a game that isn't even scheduled?

Nick Saban doesn't have time for this shit.

Yeah, because the only way they could possibly do it would be by using chemical agents, a dozen or so rabid dogs and possibly some heavy air support.

I heard on Atlanta radio this morning that the Auburn boosters have raised enough money to buy out Chizik's contract and he will more than likely be gone by December 2nd.

Idk how true that is, but the guy reporting on it was pretty certain it was going to happen.

Well, according to this guy: http://www.al.com/auburnfootball/ind...uyout_not.html his contract is structured so that his buyout, if fired, would be paid in monthly installments (roughly 200k+/mth x 37 mths), but, if he took another job his buyout would be reduced by the amount of his new pay in another job. If the boosters ponied up a cool &7.5 mil with no strings, I'm pretty sure they could work it out.

I hope this doesn't happen. The Chiz is the best thing that has happened to Auburn since K2 graduated.

I'm impressed with K State's rapid improvement over the last few years. I remember a poor/mediocre ucla team beating them as recently as '09.

what does a preseason #1 USC do with Lane Kiffin when he drops at least 4 games this season?

He will lose to Oregon and ND, maybe ASU (they have a good secondary, and USC only has receivers, so I give them a chance).
