OK .. Or if you wanted to go on dirt..
She can ride with me as a passenger as well...

But as I said it all depends on what is going on with the farm.. Everything always depends on can we get someone to farm sit...

Our farm sitter for the last 6 yrs. now has a GF and well. His weekends are now his own... We tried a new sitter last year.. and need to find another one... You want to have peace of mind when you leave and know that the stock is being taken cared of... LOL and yes we pay them

She doesn't know her, so she's a passenger.
But she can ride 2up with me if you'll be the tour guide. :-)
I've never been to a Laurel Fork event but I believe there is always a street oriented ride. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I just hate to leave her at the camp sight bored while I go off road.
She's not a hiker either.
I would be riding a KLR 650 and that alone could pose a problem.
As long as it's paved and people will be leading, I think it would work for us.
She may actually let me off road for a day too.
What do you guys think?
Bring her or leave her?
Any other women going?
Most folks are doing gravel Forest Service and County roads. Sometimes there is some pavement to tie it all together.

A few go to the Davis/Thomas/Blackwater Falls area, but I don't know if they stay on pavement.

As others have said, you have to do some gravel to get to the campground. You'll get the least amount of gravel by taking US-33 to Alpina and taking CR-27 to Glady, were the pavement ends. There are 6.3 miles of gravel from Glady to LF.

This is the road between Glady and LF.

If you can find the campground I can suggest a paved route to Blackwater Falls or a Smokehole/Potomac Highlands ride you can do on your own if you can't find someone to follow.

Smokehole Canyon.

Is there two up riding during the day? Or is it trail riding?
Aside from food and alcohol, what else goes on?
I need to make a decision about bringing her or not.
My daughter and I will be there. The only possible problem - I'm sending the seat for my BMW to Russell towards the end of April and unless they tell me the date has slipped, I may be in the cage. It's also kinda up to the doc too (more hand surgery in January). If nothing else, I can give you a map with good routing that will keep you on paved roads - except from going and coming! The road into and out of Laurel Fork off Rt33 is close to 20 miles of gravel. It's well kept, but gravel none the less.

Gravel shouldn't be an issue

I was more worried about single track and dirt.
We can do gravel.

Any scenic riding will be awesome.
She just loves to be on the back in the open air.
I just had shoulder surgery Wednesday and hope I'm able to ride close to 100% for this trip.
Mapping will definitely help for when I'm not following others.

My wife and I made the camp out last year and had a great time. We plan on being there again this year. She is a passenger as well. We did a lot of two up riding, there is plenty to see especially if you are taking your time with a passenger aboard.

She plans to stay back at the camp ground some, while I try riding (keeping up) with the Clown and the other Gnarly ADV Riders.
