Yup.. got water in my boots to show for it too.

I have done this whole section suggested by Drif on the Stelvio with Tourances at one time or another. Some of this is much quicker on a smaller bike but the beast is all I got with plates on it so I just have to go a little slower in sections. A bunch of this I would not want to do without knobbies if it is raining (on the Stelvio at least).

For locals....then day one jumps on the k&p rail trail, gravel roads, triple tower hydro line, gravel roads, snowmobile trail, gravel roads (Arcol), hydro dam, paved to Calabogie, k&p rail trail to campsite near Renfrew.

I barely remember any real road from last year. My memory is of one essentially endless 400km water crossing.

Ok, I'm exaggerating...but it was WET!! Very similar to the absolutely sodden Paris-Dacre run from 2010. Still a grand ride, looking forward to this version!
