Working away on the bike....hoping that it all goes back together properly and that I did not blow the head gasket in Australia.

Good to see you as well, Jim!!! I would love to come up to this thing. Maybe next year, I'm taking a large financial hit this year and won't be venturing far from home... I have a feeling it's gonna be epic this year!!!

As you know, i am following this thread, but i am not registered for this event. I know the area well. Early bird gets the worm. Sleep tight guys and watch for obstructions along your route.

Ah yes, Ottawa Valley cannibals that lurk in the forest waiting for food aka tourists that breakdown. Saw an entire tribe running threw the forest the other day. They were keeping pace with me down the hydro line by Ompah. Any stop would have likely resulted in me becoming dinner for the savages. True adventure riding

Quick question for those who know...on morning of Day 2 instead of taking the ferry across I see there is a bridge north of the campgrounds. Is that a good option as well? It's on Chenaux Rd on the Ontario side becoming Rt. 301 on the Quebec side.

Brings back memories of a scene that nearly happened to me two summers ago in Algonquin Park. I was woken in the middle of the night by a female black bear who was sniffing and snorting my face, through the nylon wall of my tent .... I grabbed my LED head lamp and my filet knife, and stepped out of the tent to find the mama bear wandering to the campsite next door, but her cub was licking an empty Doritos bag my camping buddy had forgotten on the ground beside my tent.

Downloaded the GPS files and they work on my old ass Garmin!

Just how off the grid is this going to be? Do I need to bring food for 3 days?
