Some of the results are up.

Gilkey's in first. Crank hasn't come in yet,,,,, from what I've been getting from the live feed, he's got a clutch problem.

Hey Team Ghetto fans, I'm here at the Mex 1000 chasing my husband c.vestal. Mike asked me to check in with y'all. Crankshaft (Aaron) is ok but still on the last part of the 2nd special. We've heard he has busted his clutch cover and has no oil. There was an ok check in on his spot about 10min ago, NORRA officials are aware of the situation.

Is this no race for young men? The two leaders are 50 and 71 years old. Maybe I should get out there.
I would like to just do a ride along on this one. I really enjoyed my ride down the peninsula the first of this month.

as far as I can tell from reports from racers and riders @ SS2ASS AAron busted his clutch cover and can't move. Some reported him giving the thumbs up, other's said he said he was "just chillin." Luis at the end of the special will call me when he gets to Loreto to report what he knows. That is, whether or not Aaron made it one way or another to the end, and Luis has him. I may or may not post up with an update. Plenty of S to do for tomorrow.

They are riding the same 83 XC500 that Dan Smith and Dan Aschcraft rode to wins at the Baja 500 and Frontier 500 29 years ago. Too cool.

Antother early start to the day. Here's Malcolm's bike in the hallway of this all-marble 250-a-night hotel. Pic from about 3 minutes ago. :-)

Bummed for Aaron.

Will he be able to continue since he is shown as DNF? Was just thinking about the "cut and run" policy of the Australian Safari that Seth ran last year.

On a brighter note...huge props to Mike and C.vestal. How's their bikes holding up Anders? Any drama?

Looks like 888 has been idle for a while at this location near La Laguna and Hwy 1 intersection.
