For a few years I had a CZ75BD 9MM and it was a very comfortable gun to hold and shoot. You might want to look at their .45.

Actually just tonight I emailed a local dealer to check the price of a CZ75B, I think that is what I am going to get. In the research I did online I can't find any bad reviews.

Definitely a great pistol, but not a 1911

Many months later I read that there was a certain production range that had bad magazines, which was causing the feed problems.

And btw, happy new year buddy. Hope things are well for you's guys.
I've had an Ultra for about 10 years. Never had a malfunction. One problem Kimber had was when they went to an external extractor. It didn't work very well, and they went back to the original Browning design. I wouldn't buy any external extractor Kimber.

If price is a real big concern, You can always build your own custom 1911, aint too hard to do.
However if its got the horsey on it(colt) youll never lose any money.. Try sellin a Sig or S&W 1911 for what you paid for it.

I forgot all about SIg 1911s and one of my best 1911s is a Sig 1911R Scorpion. You can find em for right at a grand if lucky.

Here's mine:

It is a Sig Scorpion, and you get them for about 1100 or so.

When one wants a 1911 the CZ or any other .45acp just won't do.

Now that is one seriously nice looking pistol.

I was thinking the opposite. I pretty much hate the SIG-ized contour of the slide. I hear nothing but good things about 'em, though. And...No offense, Snipey!

Can't argue with that. My only defense is that I never sell any of my guns, just add to the collection so re-sale value is not part of the equation when I buy a gun.
