Was nice meeting and riding with you Jim! Sorry I was ill and did not get to ride more. I'm not over it yet but am showing signs that I may live.

Please post some of your video! I'd like to know what it's like to travel that fast down Old Ore Road

Let's do it again!

A group of around 15 ADVers will be in the BB area on Feb. 9-11th. From the Dallas & Ft. Worth area. I am planning on riding with them on my new 09 GS. Or my 01 GS, decisions, decisions. We will be based in Lajitas on Friday and then onto Marathon for a Sat. night party.

That is the same group I will be meeting up with there. BORD. A friend turned me onto this ride. Used to live in Dallas, spent 0ver 40 years there, I was released on good behavior, now live where great riding is out my back door. See you in BB.

Have been to BB many times and every time I enjoy it more. Places ages well. I will be on my new 09 R1200 GS matte black, my 01 R1150 will rest in my garage until its next adventure....

Since my friend will be on a Triumph Speed triple we will trailer there. My GS hates that.

Very cool! Yeah BORD is the group. I know the speed triple. This is my first trip to BB so I am pretty excited. I am riding with an 1100GS on Thursday morning and will link up with everyone on Friday for lunch. I know you would rather be riding and matte black I bet looks good. Cant wait to see it.

For those who have never been to BB, you are in for a real treat. Best of Texas awaits. I will be on a 09 R1200 GS matte grey. First ride on my new bike. My bike will be proudly marked by a Lone Star emblem on the front windshield.

Where are everyone meeting for lunch on Friday? Starlite Theatre in Terlinqua for dinner is always a hoot. And what are the ride plans on Friday. We plan on leaving Marathon after breakfast and riding the Ft. Davis Loop then towards Marfa and do the River Rd. ending up at Lajitas in the PM. See y'all there.

We have about 5 or 6 guys who have never been out there...I've probably been 15 times to Lajitas/BBNP and over 20 times to Marfa...

Friday Lunch will be at Pizza Foundation in Marfa.

Dinner will be:
La Kiva on Thursday Night.
Starlight on Friday Night

On Friday, I was planning on leading a group down Pinto Canyon Road after lunch...probably make a stop at the Chinati Hot Springs as well.
