Out of Zion headed north on 89 again to rt. 12, this went to the entrance of Bryce Canyon. Good area to find a spot to camp for the evening and see BC in the morning.

Past these cars last time I was here. Just love them. So much potential in each one....

turning onto rt. 12

stopped to take a few sunset pictures, there is a campground just past here....

another Sportmobile at the campground.... Set up the tent in the dark. Quick dinner and bed.

That was nice, but I want more dirt and a slower pace than the pavement has to offer, so I took a gander at my old paper map and saw some interesting roads right across the street from the park entrance....

So at the top of the hill I ran into (almost, ) some kids from Durango that were packing up camp, really nice spot overlooking everything. They were on a KTM and v-strom loaded like mules, and I thought I had a lot of sh*t . They were great and showed me some cool roads to take all the way to Hankersville, mostly dirt except a small jump from Escalante to Boulder . Its always good to talk to locals. What is funny, and I didnt know this until I came upon it, was the Burr-trail. I had seen this 100 times in reports and never knew it was in Utah . I skim a lot.

Escalante to Boulder:

Boulder, lunch and gas.....
