I lived in Tokyo for three years. Parking on sidewalks, or any available nook or cranny is almost encouraged because it leaves additional space for cars.

I usually look for the P and then park by that. I think the P is the international sign for parking. So then I park there.

The pic from Paris made me laugh. I've seen bikes that have obviously been in the same places for months if not years. Never saw any attempt to tow them.

I do agree the this is not the best rigging but is the safest way to load motorcycle/scooter on the flat bed.
With locked bars and possible lock on the rotor or wheel I would grab the bars and grab handles in the back to spread the load.This guy need more training but some guys just don't care specially with PPI.
I would worry more about the car he got on the stinger with out primary straps and secondary safety chains.

But,what do I know.
