Not clue what he is doing wearing that sniper camouflage suit on a motorcycle, though...

But, yes, those guys can ride. Wow!

I don't think that's a very good MOTORCYCLE track, they are circulating at high speed and barely have to shift or brake.

There is no such thing as a bad motorcycle track.

Considering that from the sound of it it that was af 600 and a liter duking it out, the guy with the camo was riding what appeared to be 600 GSRX and the camera was on a liter of some sort.

Besides, you have a lot of time to shift and brake.

Great video of Stoner pushing the limits.

I have great doubt that anyone posting the benefits of hanging off in this forum has ever come close to his level of speed.

maybe not on this forum, but there are a few members over on the FZ1 Forums who started and posted in the "Body position" thread who Race and teach and are very impressive riders in thier own right. But then again they are folks who know the benefits and use body position............instead of making fun of people who try to gain and work at those skills as many members here see to do.

I do a lot of "spirited" riding along the CA coast near where I live. There are a ton of other bikers around and I have some rules of my own for passing. I'm very rarely the one being passed but if someone is on me, I get over and wave them by. We're all out there riding to have fun, there's no reason to slow another rider down unless you're actively racing.

Rules for passing motorcyclists on the twisties:
1. No passing unknown bikes in the corners. - You don't know that rider, you don't know their skill level or how well they are going to make that turn.

2. Pass on straights or in area's where you have a clearly visible stretch of road. - there are a few times where you can see the road ahead of you due to a switchback up ahead or something, if it's clear and safe go for it.

3. Once you pass keep your pace, don't try to go faster or slower. - Don't try to push it and make more room on the rider you just passed, it's a distraction you don't realize is happening. Ride your pace, you caught him, passed him and should be able to outrun him at a pace that is comfortable to you without pushing you past your limits.

4. If it's a Harley Ignore rules 1&2 while trying to pass him either sideways (Backing it in) or on one wheel. - Dude, it's a Harley they need to get beat down occasionally, it's good for them.

In all seriousness my dangerous passing is almost always due to cars. Riders always get out of the way, I've had a 10 man group pull over to let me pass before. It works like this, I don't care about solid or broken yellow lines. I care about sight and it being clear, if I can see far enough ahead to feel safe and confident in my pass I'll go for it. I'm for more likely to pass you on my DRZ than I ever was on my R1 though.

You, I like to make fun of... the V-Max, the trailer hitch, etc. Regarding most of the other folks that are hanging off all over the place, I am casting aspersions and heaping sarcastic ridicule on their skill level, sense of riding style and judgement. There is a difference!
