Nope, I just always payed attention
The really, really nice dumb southern boys bought all kinds of shit though and I laughed my ass off. As far as the quality of people out West..... they're all from somewhere else, about 20% are natives

That looks like the '62 model. Cranks '77 is much nicer.

Yeah, see what I mean? That '77 is sweeeet. Nothing like that ratty old '62. And Cranks is even nicer with the white mags.

Just don't hurt yourself. All too often it seems we hear of guys hurting them selves on a training ride just before a big event. I want to see you thrash that old airhead down under!

Yea, wear a padded suit in your clothes closet until your departure day....oh and bring a parachute when riding on the plane ![]() Never understood that logic, the riding you do today will help with the riding you'll do tomorrow. If you're going to hurt yourself that bad on a training ride, maybe going to do a race or event that far away was a bad idea in the first place. I'm getting ready for Mexico next year, so I'm doing all the nastiest rides I can find and racing my guts out to improve my skills and just become one with the bike. If I break my arm, so be it but the risk is well worth the reward! Good luck Jason, I'll be rooting for you on this end for what it's worth. Slow and steady, is never a bad thing and you're riding the best bike for that. Don't forget to smile in your helmet, its a reminder of why you''re there

Thanks guys.. THere's a difference between training and taking chances... I was riding bikes with Havas the other day, and we were contemplating a rather large ledge. "dont do it man," he said. "you wont gain anything from making the drop, but you might break a leg."
I guess its the same philosophy as "you cant win in shakedown, but you can lose" :lol well, I'm not riding ultra-difficult stuff, I'm just running my ass off, doing shitloads of squats, and pedaling like Lance also, if youre going to break an arm, at least let it be far enough out you can heal up. At this point, it would be painful in more ways than one.
