Laurie and I are so sorry for your loss.

I met Gary when I sold him some wheels. We were to meet him at the ferry depot and do the swap. After the usual BS'n he left to board the ferry and got one of the wheels stuck in the turnstile. Oh boy, the more we tried to part the two the worse it got and the more we laughed. Pretty soon everybody in the whole depot was giggling at us. Finally separated...I remember seeing him running full sprint, down the isle with a wheel and tire in each hand trying to catch the ferry...laughing all the way. Dammit, one less good guy to go riding with.

Can't help but keep thinking back to the first time I met him - wheeling down the Blanchard cut-off back onto Chuckanut hoping the popo he'd seen farther to the South hadn't seen where he'd gone... or what he'd been doing.
If you don't like my sig line - don't read it.

My condolences to you and your mom.

Gary will always remain our favorite visitor in Lewiston and especially in Pierce where he was ready to ride the trails on the north fork with Katy and Allen, or show me that my R1200 couldn't keep up on a run back from Aquarius. Especially sitting around the camp fire with a quick wit and a ready smile.

One of his favorites was the Lolo motorway , I thought of Gary this year as I rode a bit of it that was open and I guess it will always remind me of him and his love of riding.

My condolences. Very sorry to hear of his passing.
He seemed very passionate about his hobbies, and didn't care what others thought. I respect that.
Turns out I like the rain, easier to Spin, Skid and Slide.

RIP Gary

Gary and Ken(Rapidrider) invited me along on a FS 17/18 ride when I was a total noob. Hammer was patient and generous with tips and help for a novice that he had never met. Boy, could he make riding that katoom look easy!
I'm sorry he's gone too condolences.

Thanks Hammer!

Very sad indeed. My condolences.

Gary was on the Baja GripTwister trip I did in '09. He was an amazingly cheerful and positive person. His energy was infectious.

Godspeed, Gary.

If anyone knows Garys last name, PM it to AceRph so he can add him to the memorial thread in inmates.
