I'm in to meet at Travis's place. Any Whidbey riders want to meet for the ride over.

I'm trying to make it to this but work keeps changing my schedule. Gary was a good guy and I would be honored to be able to attend his memorial. I work until 6:00 and then I'm supposed to deliver some stuff to Anacortes. I hope to be able to change a couple of deadlines and be there.

Howdy All,

I'll be at Travis's home to meet everyone. I'll be riding the Beemer with the sidecar if a family member wants to ride in the sidecar please have them get a hold of me, I'll bring an extra helmet just in case.

pm replied to, look for the open Garage, with the 950 Adv and KLR in it, smoke coming out of the chimney and the smell of Fresh Hot Coffee.

My regards to the family. I won’t be able to make the service as my son and I have a trip planed over the hump in the Twisp area for the extended weekend.

Mark, That is GREAT NEWS !!!

Nah, don't feel bad, family comes first, Gary would've said the same.

Howdy All,

A bunch of us rode to Gary's Memorial Service last night, I learned a lot about Gary listening to those who spoke and told stories of his life. I had not met Gary's wife until last night, I wish this could have been done before and not after Gary's death. Ride hard and fast Gary, scout the trails and waypoint the good ones for us, your now on point.

Sorry for your loss. My best friend was diagnosed with NHL last summer, went thru 1 round of chemo when they had to put a stent into an artery, he has to do the chemo again because the NHL came back. In March he goes to Tucson for bone marrow treatment.

Was shocked to learn of Hammers passing from a member of our vintage MC group Saturday. I wish I knew sooner so I could have paid my respects at the memorial service.

Having ridden with Gary both on Valkyrie road runs of old as well more recent times in the dirt as he became more passionate for adventure riding I will miss him.

What a Guy! Will always remember riding with him.

RIP Gary... you will be missed by your many friends.

so sorry

I just picked up on this thread. I met Hammer when he was coming back from his Baja trip. I let him store bikes in my warehouse in exchange for him telling me about his adventures in Baja. A wonderful man.

Condolences.
