For some reason the paint on the front of the tub was lifting, so resand it all down and started the painting process all over again on the hood portion, all the rest of the paint stuck really good, don't know why it didn't, the primer did, the color didn't stick to the primer. I do it again.......and if it don't stick again, I'll sand it down again.

I got my tires in today......the one on the left goes on the back.

Painting, second effort

Second time around on painting, much improved......I think the humidity hurt my 1st effort.

And now for the tire......working on it.....

Nice job and I am glad to see that I am not the only backyard painter.

Well, I now have something to do in my spare time......front cylinder on the tug developed an oil leak. Looks to be the head gasket. So next week here we go on the tear down. Also I got in my spare rear rim to modify for the auto tire. I got all froggy about that and got the mod done to it so now I have to mount the car tire on it in the morning. Then my vette's transmission shelled out. I have to go get one that I located about 30 miles away, call the wrecker to come get the car and drop it at the Chevy dealer here.

Scott, could you please post a image of the rig from the front? I'm mounting a Motorvation Formula to my GL1100 and I'd like to compare the distance from bike to frame on yours to what I have on mine presently. I'm thinking mine's a little out there. Thanks!

I'm putting a Motorvation hack on my GL1100 and would really appreciate it if you would provide more info on the steering damper. What model VW is it for? Can you get them locally? Do you have to buy special mounting hardware? Thanks!
