I've been working my way though a couple of 12 packs of ruthless rye ipa. I really dig it, especially for the price. Sierra Nevada never disappoints for the taste:cost ratio. Supplementing with various homebrews of course.

I would be down for a B+B camp-out some weekend this summer. Everyone could Strap-On a 12 pack of homebrew (or craft for those who dont brew), we could ride around by day and drink by night. word!

Sounds cool . . . . . The B&B Strap-On rally ! ! ! Anyone out there with the ability & inclination to do logistics(read: you got connections/know-how/private property owner willing to put up with FF shenanigans) & planning ? ? ? ? ?

Just now imbibing the Inversion IPA, Deschutes Brewery - Distinctive & tasty - About a-buck-a-bottle from Costco . . . . . . Yummmmm.

Just kegged a homebrew IPA last night. Half pilsner malt, half pale liquid malt extract, half amarillo hops, half cascade hops, half water, half yeast. Lots of halves went into this bad boy... that's a lie, really I just didn't measure much of anything and threw stuff in the brewpot so how much I don't know.

It's about half carbonated now, which means it's drinkable but not ideal. Tastes pretty similar to the Fremont 77 Select spring seasonal they have on right now. Both are heavy on the pilsner malt so that stands to reason. I'll never brew this one again (what with not measuring stuff)...

Made another batch of our Old Rasputin clone yesterday. It is happily bubbling away.

Say... All grain brewers. I have a surplus of 2011 Organic 2-row, Crystal 60, and Munich malt. I can mill it for you (or not). $1.25 per pound if you pick it up in White Center. $1.50 per pound delivered in Seattle/Burien/Seatac area. 10# minimum for delivery.

Also have a few items to sell.... A big bottle washing/drying tree tree, a propane burner, Safale US-05 yeast $3 per packet, wing cappers, new unused Monster Mill with base and hopper. I'm doing pics for craigslist this will & will add them when available.

Send me a PM if interested.

shameless plug

I've been enjoying the new Chainbreaker white IPA from Deschutes. I know this is a shameless plug as I work there and all but it's just so damn tasty. Cheers

I haven't seen that on the shelves. I'll check it out. I have been under the impression, for years, that for some reason Deschutes can not make a decent IPA. Maybe this one will change my mind

I'm always sad to see the last of the Jubel go off the shelves, but it gives me something to look forward to every fall

I opened a 2008 Abyss last night, it's been in my garage fridge since purchased. Very nice I must say.
