Not waterproof, but I wrap it's sides with electricians tape and it lasts until the battery dies. When it happens, I just get a new one. The advantage of this thermometer is that it has a remote sensor, placed in the airstream it reads changes in the temperature almost instantaneously. I don't think it is available in F scale though.

This is what I have with the remote sensor cable tied onto the front turn signal

Dealextreme has 2 other voltmeters. One is a v-meter only, the other also includes a thermometer.
