Nice! A nice highbeam and peripheral lights do wonders in the twisties at night. I'd say that the light flicker is a good thing in regards to cagers. That makes em more likely to notice you between text messages.
You might want to look into getting a set of rigid industries d2 led lights for your side lighting. They are bright and won't tax your stator and regulator/rectifier. The lights are spendy, but so is a new bike when a deer runs out.

Don't get me wrong, the peripheral lighting is fantastic - it just doesn't get much better with the high beams. For 90% of my night riding this headlight will be more than sufficient and for those times when I know I'm going to be out riding around far from the city I've got a pair of 4" HID spots I mount on the crash bars. Now THOSE throw a lot of light!

that's how i feel with most threads on here! glad i could start one that'll make y'all blow some money too! i just got back from a trip to Tennessee/North Carolina and did some riding, so I spent the money for the HID retrofit kit & D2's on that instead since the 6" bar does just fine for now, lol. your setup looks badass. how do you like the dual projectors?

Nice shot! Dragging the gobi's!
The 2.8" puts out 3 times the light of the 2" with the same size bulb. Looks cool though. Someone told me a while ago, it's not the bulb it's the reflector. Boy it's the truth. |

![]() Are these the Morimoto units then? Which housings? Is one just on for high beam and the other low beam with a solenoid cutoff? How was the clearance for the top light - seems like there is not much room behind it in this position.

![]() I joke that the Orange Crush section simultaneously saves and costs me money! I absolutely LOVE the look of these projectors, but since I've already sprung for the Euro headlight, Euro switch, and a DDM H3/H7 HID conversion, I'm putting this project on next winter's list. |

They are not Morimoto. Picked them up on ebay. Both have the solenoid for hi/low. The top 2" just touches the metal speedometer bracket.

Mostly interested in how the lights perform. How is the beam pattern and penetration?

Yes, I used the reflector so the beam height adjustment is still working.
I had to cut the back for depth and epoxy aluminum brackets to the reflector. ![]()
