Fugly bikes

Ugly design, bad proportions, fugly fairings and tacked on crap, gotta be lots of pics out there of bikes that on looks alone, shouldn't be.......

This includes what some people consider thier "customs" or homebuilts.

This one, I give the builder credit for doing something original, and the fabrication in the picture looks pretty good, but it is simply FUGLY.

fugly

I'm not sure there's really any point in continuing after the first post - that's some ugly (if well crafted) work there.

but when I think of fugly bikes, these two seem always to come to mind.

'course it's always in the eye of the beholder...

See, now actually, I LIKE the Gator bike. But it looks much better with a rider on it.

There have been some gawd awful ugly fairings mounted on bikes. One come to mind as a frame mounted fairing extending over the front wheel like the prow of a boat. Yeesh!

I saw this 2 wheel drive bike at the KTM rally in Steamboat Springs last weekend. Made by a father and son team. Both are engineers.

Any of those Harley baggers with the 23" front wheel. The original BMW K1. The Alligator bike is ugly, but it sure looks comfortable. The Rune was named Bike of the Year by at least a couple of major magazines. It's not my thing, but it is an engineering masterpiece, and was priced lower than most of those Harley clone choppers that were being sold at the time.

I built a fugly bike one time. Created with fun/utilitarianism first, and then ugly as an afterthought, mostly so I could see the ridiculous looks on peoples faces

(I also sold it for a $1500 profit )
