GPS Fails

Thought this would be a funny thread. Anyone else have issues with their GPS. I had just gotten a new GPS and it send me down this road. "Cattle Rustling"? Really? And even when I tried to just go another direction to try to get the GPS to recalculate, it kept trying to send me to the same spot. I think I had to actually look at Google maps on my phone finally.

Idea is to post a photo of the interesting places your GPS took you that you didn't mean to happen.

My old Zumo 450 started rerouting me to places like South Carolina...when all I was doing was the 12 mile commute home up here in Vermont. Then it would ask me if I was sure I wanted to nuke all user data or tell me I was doing 15 on the Interstate when the speedo said 80+. Eventually the touchscreen failed and once the low fuel message came up that's all I ever saw.

My new Zumo 660 sent me in a neverending loop on a ride thru Gay MI. I had to pull over and study the paper map to figure out how to leave that little town. Once we were outside the town limits the Zumo came back to life and acted like nothing at all had happened.

I suspect it is a straight GPS, and wasn't sure how to handle Gay.

"Shortest route" near Pamukkale, Turkey. Kinda deep gravelly stuff at the bottom of the hill. Pick up the bike, then turn right....

........go straight into the potato field.

A bunch of arm waving and pointing and we're back on track. Good to have the GPS.

What happens in Gay MI stays in Gay MI.

Thanks for sharing

I looked for a thread like this but didn't come across it. I love my GPS, but man sometimes it's clueless.

Somewhere in Wales. GPS showed it as just some road and routed me across.

I tried. It just wouldn't fit.

Looks like the stuff I used to race on. I miss the harescramble days...

I imagine that could be handful on some of the large bikes.

Not really a fail , but this was shown as a county road in NE TN, and very well may have been. Looked more like a land slide.

I was alone, low on gas, and that shit was steep, so I chickened out.
