Nice. If we see each other I'd like to do a training room fight, or ten, against that if you don't mind.

I have been playing off and on today, not sure I am sold on the valentine, but like the little tier III prem french TD. A great deal like the marder....think it hits a little harder but it is MUCH slower...might have a tick better armor too.

Got mine last night too. Not too bad but slow.

I haven't been avoiding you guys just wanted a high level tank to play in, and my son broke the mic evidently.

That can probably be arranged, but it will be a while until I have the top turret and gun. I'm only running the D-25T right now.

Problem is - you're still a tier 8, so your teams will expect ya to deal with other tier 8's. No sense in waiting to practice if you need the skills and experience right now.

Practice matches for clan-mates, from my perspective, are not a 1 vs. 1, or platoon vs. platoon, instead they give the chance for two guys to meet each other out somewhere open, and to take practice shots from different angles to learn what really penetrates. The goals are to be as effective as possible, but not to decimate the other guy if he can still take a few practice shots at you. I really don't mind if I lose my tank first as 'winning' isn't the point. This is meant to be non-competitive practice until you feel you want to apply what you've learned - then you just tell me you want a real sparring match and, at that point, we can engage for the new battle as soon as we see each other on the map.

So if you think you need to learn to take pot-shots from 360-degres around a KV-5, T34, or IS-3 (or IS-8, IS-4, M103 - all of which you guys will eventually face with even a stock KV-4 or IS-3) to learn them and your gun(s), that's what it's for. Likewise, I need to learn the weaknesses of the KV-4 better.

Repairs cost nothing, but ammo does cost - but the costs of ammo for practice are well worth it to me. It's just like golf; the time to practice your swing is not during a tournament. Likewise, the time to practice your new tank probably shouldn't be in battles ... unless you don't mind losing and/or handicapping your team for a good while.

My biggest handicap lately has been my system getting bogged down to 2-4 fps! Very hard to aim for weak spots with the jerky graphics. Some times it will run 22 fps, actually I average around 20, but every once in a while I get a really low frame rate.

Last night the little guy was playing my Valentine and when he killed the other guy, the talk disappeared except for the tracks! Weird. Then he got another guy, same thing. When he died, tank disappears! It was like the Twilight Zone at Dragon Ridge

This game's code was pushing my graphic's card too hard, too, way back before Dragon's Ridge was ever in the game (June 2011). Once I determined I liked the game, I updated the 2007 system I built with one thing: a $62 graphics card (Newegg.com) I bought in 2011. Best thing I could have done.

If you like the game, you may not need to spend much to have it work well and to be able to enjoy it. You don't need to invest int he latest and greatest, just take a good look at the reviews and find a current mid-level card that will do ya. For a few bucks less you could get this card, which seems equivalent to mine, and not have to worry about the game.

I logged in this morning, but couldn't get anyone to log in to the TS server to play with me. Crazy... but, hey, I really hope you guys were all out riding or spending quality time with your families. I just thought that there would be some other time-wastin' lazy ass like me on at that time, lol.
