They are tough, granted, but not usually overly so unless you have three of them to deal with. But then groups who work together of any tank type can be just as bothersome.
You can say this about quite a few tanks....the Churchill is one hard to kill SOB if you punch away at its thick bits, but I have two shotted them with a sherman, so they can die pretty easy if you learn where to hit them.

I personally don't have a problem with the 59's, those that play them usually fall into my play style.

The skins packs have changed from back when I used to use them. Once most use them they sorta memorize most places on most common tanks, so we stop using them when a new WoT patch rolls around (too lazy to install it... used to be we had to change each tanks multiple files, file by file, folder by folder).

Just look through the example shots of them and look for one you like. I will say this about one of 'em, there is one set of skins out there with bullets and some other pieces/parts actually drawn on the areas of the tank, but for the life of me every time I hate them I'd either bounce or do next to no damage, so avoid that set, lol.

I used to use something simple like this one. Sure, it's like playing World of Clown Tanks for a while, but if that's what it takes for y'all to get better, then so be it.

Now since the newest tanks have been put in-game I've gone with both common-sense (learned from using those skins for a while) and went to reading up on certain tanks.

For example, for the newer French tanks and something like the IS-8 I went with the tried and true lower glacis for the fronts, upper-tracks or just above the upper tracks for the sides, always the side of the rear if I can hit it, and the oh-so-satisfying rear-shots, lol. But for something as imposing as the new KV-4, where I knew my premium tier-8's would have to meet them, that took some reading up on the forums to learn about the weak spots, then remembering them when the time came. I guess I could still even use a hit-zone-skin for a few tanks, then, but I'm doing alright without it when I study up on what I need to do. The tank I still need to study up / memorize on is the T110... when not played by fools they are super-tough.

Sgt Payne in a KV-1 won asshat award last night.

I started north in Mountain Pass in my PzIV and I usually sit on the ledge and snipe across the bridge or the middle road and wait to see what thrust is working the best than head down and help out. This guy spent the beginning of the game shooting at me and yelling at me to get down. Then he comes up the ramp and blocks my egress. The rest of the team is yelling at him and a few reported him. I didn't bother, I'm playing my game. I kill a RAMII and a PzIV while he's right behind me blocking me. I took a Hummel shot that got me down to 50 or so hp. I just turned left and headed down the hill, I guess he though he could block me in his slow moving pig. I went across teh bridge and shot the Hummel and Stpz 2 or what ever that arty was, but the 2 got a shot off and killed me. I still ended up with 47k

Apparently, some people think the only way to play WoT is to charge the bad guys.

I chased down an M5 with my Priest in Siegfried Line and killed him before he got to the Hummel.

Oh, if you send me a platoon intive cuz you see me logged in get on my teamspeak channel and make sure I'm really there. Sometimes I set the headset down and wander off or I may be tending to some sort of family emergency or making pina coladas or something.

Wow, what cheats did you see? I'd like to know as I won't buy any gold, or pay for any game, that has prevalent cheats in it... and thus far I haven't seen anyone with a real suspected cheat in this game. There is a super-Zoom-out 'mod', but I'm not sure that really is a cheat.

.............

Just bought the Pershing yesterday after waiting, like, forever while keeping the T20 in the stable. Decided to play the T20 for some reason yesterday, had an epic game with it as one of the lowest in a tier 9 or 10 match, and decided to stop waiting for a Pershing sale (hey, I tired, lol) and to end it all on that good note. Sold it, played 21 games between yesterday and this morning with the short-90 gun, the upgraded motor, stock tracks and stock turret until I had enough XP and free-XP combined to get the long 90 top-gun. On that first game with the long-gun (22nd game total), on an otherwise moderately upgraded tank without a 100% crew, it gave me the Ace Tanker award... so thus far I can't complain about it.

Granted, Ace Tanker awards are argued to not mean much since lucky players can get them and keep them forever, but ... earning it... I swear it was the gun upgrade that did it - I couldn't have done it with a lucky game and the shorter gun.

I'm getting better with the Pershing. It's really good at hull down and over the hill shots. It snipes well too. When I go from my E8 or M26, I have to reacquaint myself with not having the depression I like on those 2 tanks.

T95 is definitely a grind....but also a tip - don't even bother buying it unless you have enough free credits to get all the upgrade modules immediately. Playing it stock, or even close to stock is probably the most frustrating thing I've done in the game.....

WTF, no weekly specials this weekend?
I've been waiting for the 1/2 price training for crews or skills/perks reset... got tanks with empty crews right now.
