Had a similar game today - 5 kills with my M5 (), and the rest of the team still managed to lose.

Camping the base'll do that to you.

Decided to play a round in my good ole MS-1 tonight. Result was ridiculous. My team failed hardcore. At one point, we were down 12-4. Managed to pull out the win anyway. Finished off the match with only 3 hp left.

Incredible game there, frecks! (but you may want to resize the screenshots - way too big for the confines of this forum and my mere wide-screen monitor).

-------

I just got done with Company Battles which were organized by my clan. Basically it's clan-members get first dibs on being in them, but if we don't have enough they are then advertised to the public ... and as long as you politely accept in and kick people out... you really can choose from some really good players to boost your team's ability.

I'm not sure if you guys would want to try it, but basically you'd set a Medium CB up with an outfitting of something like:
4 x KV-1S
1 x 3601
2 x M18
2 x Grille
1 x T-50

Give out the TS info as long as you either stay in the lounge (since often non-clan members can't move in the TS) or as long as someone who can move people is online.

Don't ever spread out the main power (the KV-1S's) ... they stick together and roll. (and of course all tanks are fully researched ... Company Battles are never a time to bring a sub-par tank that is either not fully researched or not one that is the top for its tier). And at some points, due to a slight mixing of the tanks we were using, we would either have a T57 arty mixed in there (so a little tier 3 arty), or even a Tier-1 tank (ideally the one with the best view range) just to fully fill up to the 90 score limit for the battle.

I'd say I won (minimally) 40 battles this evening and tonight in my KV-1S and lost maybe... 3? It just takes an FC to quickly tell each tank, or group, where it is supposed to go or what route to take before the start-timer ends, and solid tactics. My KV-1S stats now sit at an 80% win ratio for 80 battles. They'd be better, but I initially tried running the KV-1S in public random battles ... and while it is an incredible tank, it can't win 'em alone. It was certainly worth spending the free experience on to fully upgrade before using it.

Dave, that sounds like fun....I may have to give company battles a try one of these days.

Frecks, that was a hell of a game. I suppose giving the enemy an 8 kill lead was fair....

Games like that usually mean that you came along and moped up what the other played had already damaged but you spotted almost every tank you killed. Nice game!

I'll keep an eye out. I have a ~59% win rate in my 1S, and that's almost exclusively public battles.

well 45 minutes into work this morning the 12lbs sledge hammer I was using to drive 1 inch stakes in the ground glanced off one of them as I was getting it started in the ground before I could really hit it and well the next thing to hit the stake was my index finger that was now between the sledge handle and the stake. (CRACK!!!) &*^#%*@(#^ that hurt, sick feeling, I think i might have broke it. so I call my boss who is just around the corner at the church we have a funeral at this morning and tell him i think I broke my finger I don't want to pull my glove off and look because it's hurting bad enough to make me queasy already, so he comes over and pulls my glove off and it doesn't look that bad but I cant curl it all the way. so i pull my glove back on and tell him I'll finish the setup and see how it feels when I'm done. after putting a little pressure on it a few times and getting that sharp pain I know it's broke.

so i get done and head to the Doc with this.

X-rayed to see this.

so for 4 weeks I have to deal with this.

Yes this is my trigger finger.

I'd say that you better learn to play left handed, but then you would have to use that finger for the "go" button.....

I got in on the alpha too. I haven't played in a while though because it was taking too long to get into a match. Looks like I'll have to fire it up again if thay added another batch of testers.

In all tier 1 battle, being a veteran player really changes the odds.
