I was reading a bunch on the 110E5 last night.. sounds like quite a tank. That said, I met an IS-7 last night that was hull down while in my Pershing. I couldn't damage him from the front no matter what I tried (and his buddies were keeping me from flanking). Sure I could plink him for 10 hp with HE but that wasn't helping
I ended up having to tuck my tail and choose a different fight.

LOL, well played. There is only so much any of us an do to a hull-down tank, especially from a medium.

There is a central location (as marked by a gear symbol with the hit zone skins) on the upper-front hull of the IS-7 that I am able to pen for damage sometimes, but there is a tiny periscope on the upper-left (as we face them) that I think I have hit a few times when face-to-face. But then a medium tank going face-to-face with an IS-7 while trying to hit a tiny periscope is in for a disappointment in the end.

" For non-angled target you have to aim at the LFP, for angled at the headlights on the UFP part facing you. At longer ranges we recommend HE-useage."

I distinctly remember people talking about, or teaching about, hitting at the headlights (in angled situations, not head-on)... but lately I've been having luck just being at the right place at the right time and shooting IS-7's in the side.

sometimes a tactical re-group is the best help you can be. the other night in a platoon I was in a light up agains a heavy about 3 tiers higher than I was and chose to go the other way and wait for some backup to arrive. in the end it worked out well.

Took out an IS6 with my amx13/75 last night. Took quite a while...

Know what I love? That flailing gun barrel and an enemy tank as they realize they've stuck their nose out too far, and are now tracked and facing three tanks. Which one to shoot at first? flailflailflail...

If you are stuck in front of one, shoot the driver with an HE round and flank. And no matter what angle you are at, don't bother shooting the turret.
