What's the logic in taking out components/crew in the last 150hp? Why not take it out in the beginning... Cripple him so he cant hurt your team as much while you eat up the other HP

This discussion is as bad as the kill mongrels who let the team lose the round as long as they have a chance at one more kill... "I don't care if he kills my teammate... I'm not shooting him because it will lower my overall damage per shot"

Trade secrets. You will be hearing from my lawyer.

Btw, it pisses me off that module damage xp bonus is only awarded once. Many times I have tracked an enemy heavy as it crested a hill, and then held him there by repeatedly shooting the tracks until my teammates kill him. *I* am the one that killed him, why the hell do they get all the xp/silver.

But then it's cash to bypass it with free xp......for 9000 gold, I'll do the grind.

...
Disagree. My T34 stats took an initial nose dive when i bought it before it was the Premium tank. As I wrote earlier, as long as the M103 doesn't have the stock gun I felt it is actually a capable sniper tank in battle where it isn't the only top tier, and careful aiming made it better even in close-up fights where hitting E-75 commanders' cuppolas were important.

I could be wrong, and I don't have the stats, but I suggest the M103 is a more accurate platform than the T34 was, and perhaps has better penetration. And... maybe even a slightly tougher weak American hull?

A few of my impressions of the M103:

In general, the forward hull armor does not hold up against tier 9 guns (that will include tier 8 enemies like the KT, the T8 Caernarvon, the AMX 50/100, and the IS-3) despite the hull upgrade from the T32. In fact, just assume the hull wasn't upgraded at all.

The M103 turret is a disaster. First of all, never ever ever ever stop the tank while at a downhill angle facing your enemy. With as little as a 10 degree downward pitch, your turret roof can be penetrated by any gun on the field, and shell normalization will guide the shell directly through your loaders into the ammo rack. Second, even when at a positive angle, it is possible for many guns to penetrate the turret cheeks on either side of the mantlet, so you have to wiggle the turret when facehugging. Even then, the commanders cupola is always a juicy target.

IIRC, I broke even when grinding T34/M103 with a premium account. So, at least there is that.

Incorrect. The T34 was more accurate, with a superior DPM as well. They nerfed accuracy and reload when it was transformed into a premium.

Edit: Yay for wiki history pages!

I find the T34 is accurate ONLY if you let the aim fully close. If you fire early; you are just as likely to shoot someone behind you

...but oooooh what a gun for a tier 8 premium when it hits.

I saw a hit of 500 last night while playing with Graham. Sure.. it was a fluke (the thing is usually 400-450'ish) but compared to the other Tier 8's I have.. the thing rocks. The only thing I get higher damage with at Tier 8 is the IS3 and that's because the BL9 gun in it is a T9 gun.

What does the T28 proto get on average for a shot?
How about that SU-122-44?

I need to play TD more...

Is there a mod that completely removes the chat? I'm really getting tired of unsolicited advice from every wannabe rommel in a smoking scrap heap.

That was a fun round

It started with Sam pit maneuvering a Wedding Cake (Dave you would have been proud).

We then wasted the next minute listening to him tell us what idiots we were while he tried to block us from playing
....of course then we had to prove him wrong....

9 kills between the two of us and a Brothers in Arms award

...in the wedding cake's defense he did get 1 kill; but I'd also argue he cost Sam from getting at least 2 more kills.

p.s.

T34, T28, and T28 Proto all use the same gun at elite. 300-500. Only accuracy and reload are modified (T28 > Proto > T34)

SU-122 uses the same weapon as the SU-152. Alpha is also in the 300-500 range. Just as accurate, with the same penetration, and nearly the same DPM, with 50% more hull mobility and better armor.

Look again.....for the 120, accuracy is .35 on both.

I'm fully there. In fact the only tank I've really played recently is my MS-1. Whenever I start taking it too serious and get pissed about losses I go back to my Tier I and just have fun playing again.

I am not so sure that the Lee that lived was the one that was blocking us, it may have been the other one... I don't remember him having a clan tag.

EDIT: I just went back and looked at the replay, he is in [FC], so I am wrong.
