I have almost 600 battles in that tank and wanted to like it so much. Part of my problem is how heavy the low velocity guns are in this game...there is a reason that tanks had long guns and did not run around yelling derp. You had to have velocity to do any kind of real damage to tanks....something that is lost on this game.

I played all my battles with the long 50....and after the british matilda came out with a long 40 I finally sold the PzIII knowing full well that there really is a bias against german tanks.

Yup. Most of my "fun" tanks are Soviet.

I thought the most common gun on the PzIII was the derp gun? Yes, it has terrible accuracy, but it's a howitzer - so IIRC, use HE rounds?

It's a much more aggressive play style, and one that requires the talent that medium tank drivers of higher tiers should have (but seem to rarely have anymore) to get past and behind an enemy, or to circle-strafe them, but it should be more than effective with gold rounds I'd think. I don't think that using the PzIII as a sniping platform is the correct way of using it, but then I haven't played it forever, and I bet they've changed it. Maybe it doesn't even have a derp gun anymore.

Getting the same server error as yesterday.

We'll be platooning again tonight and plan on 'lending' accounts to let anyone who missed the signup get a round if we manage to get past stage 1...

Invader award... good way to start the day in the IS7.

Kay's medal II class... I've read the description and I still don't know what it means
"achieving the Battle Hero status in four classes"
er... what is the "Battle Hero Status" ???

My guess is that any time you get an award/medal that both teams see you got (so not something like SharpShooter), that's a Hero status. I can't believe you only have ten total awards... so did you just get your tenth Invader medal perhaps?

Edit: sorry, you got your 100th in those categories - Invader, Defender, Sniper, Patrol, Scout, Confed, Top Gun. You now have a total of 100 between all of them. Second Edit: Ooh, awesome then - I just did the math on mine. I'm about 67 medals away from hitting Kay's 1st class with 1000 medals. You're off to a much better start than I was. You'll get 1000 soon enough.
----

For those who wonder... I just platooned with a ______ (specific clan that is in the Burning Legion now) member who readily admit that their clan nearly all participates in stat-padding - maybe more-so than other clans they've seen. This is one who also has played with the really-greats, like many -G- guys, and other teams, and agrees it's pretty bad in ______. Just keep that in mind when you come up against them, lol. Don't get psyched out. (Clan name deleted - I don't want any hard feelings.)

That brings up a question I've had on my mind recently......how does a clan (any clan) stat pad in this game??? Low tier baby seal clubbing, company battles, what?

Hell if I know.

Best I could guess would be tank companies, and low-tier seal-clubbing.

theoretical question:

big clan - lots of players.. could players load their crappy-don't-care-accounts and form a company while their clanmates load their "stat padding" accounts - play over and over with crappy-accounts throwing each game so the "stat padding" gang pads their stats?

It would require second computers for everyone, or ways around having only one client open on each. The general player base isn't that into computers, and bandwidth is too thin as it is, so I don't see it happening. It would be figured out pretty fast when a whole team of a tank company sat idle, or logged off, if the 'good' team's company got placed in another battle to fight against some different team.
