That's all I have to say about that.
That's the primary thinking - that a tank should fill some singular role completely - like a big, heavy E-100 being an armor-king, but the truth is I got my IS-4 across the entire map far faster than an E-100 would have, had it been used in such a role, and I imagine the sniping capability of the IS-4 aided in making most of my shots. In being right there as we made a major long-distance push, the E-100 falling behind would have allowed more of my team to fall - and I'm guessing the big boomstick the E-100 uses would have missed more when it did get to fire at range.

There is such a thing as all-arounded-ness, but it often gets ignored. Keep in mind that both E-100's died by my hand - I did not die by theirs. granted, at some point that last E-100 was up for grabs, but I'd put the IS-4 up against any heavy in the game for a one-on-one match and feel good about it.

I really wouldn't be surprised if the zoom mod goes. I think it gives a distinct advantage when you can zoom out and see what someone is doing on the other side of a building.

That's what I don't understand. I'm more than happy to put holes in any E-100 you field.

Would you rather have this at 12.5 hp/t:

http://wotguru.com/wp-content/upload.../IS4_Angle.jpg

Or this at 9.2 hp/t:

All sense aside, I guess some people have hard-ons for the Germans.

I could use that first one when running the amx 13/90. I can't hit a damn thing with that while on the run.

3d hitskins... lol... want!

Maybe to the zoom mod, like Skid I would not be surprised to see that go.

The Laser mod is a red line that extends from your barrel in the main window, not the mini map so my call is the map mod does not qualify.

How bad does a team have to be for this to happen?

Take note that 4 of the people on my team were killed by my own damn team!

I hear you, Sam....I just played three battles in my Hellcat. Averaged over 1500 damage per battle, 4 kills, 1 kill and 1 kill.....went 1-1-1. Stupid, stupid teams.

The 4 kill run was the loss.

One for the books

Had a great battle in my KV-1s with MN_Smurf and Mambo Dave.

I just watched the replay. It really wasn't fair.
Didn't realize it was 7, 1-shot kills and a ramming kill.
The OP comments are pretty funny.

Sturmpanzer II vs. Grille

I do better playing the Sturmpanzer than the Grille.
I get more hits and do more damage.

Is this typical? I play them the same, do I need to be closer to the target with the Grille?

I've noticed my tank playing has gotten better since I started on the arty.
It also gives me something else to play when I'm on a bad run with the tanks.

And for a while you, like I, may feel that we were doing better with the Grille than the Hummel, and sometimes the Hummel over the GW Panther. 100% vs. 100% crews are needed to make the comparison, so don't leave that out, but it may be a comfort thing. The advantage is usually in the last upgraded gun for each arty. You may not hit as much as with the last tier, but when you do hit... it does far more.

Sam, I think you and some of the others knew the frustration I was having with being in UF. When I say bad, I mean that I wouldn't be surprised if there may come a day when they get kicked out of the Legion, lol. What the legion is going to do for them is give them land centered and protected by legion either almost the whole way around them, or the entire way around them, because if they can't win a clan wars landing to save their lives, they won't be able to protect land they've been given either. I spoke out against this, and stated to them that based on my experiences in the game it will hurt their morale even more to be given land (instead of fighting for land and winning it on their own), and then not be able to hold that land despite having a team each night. At some point I decided that I don't want any more of the *cough*... "problems" that permeate that clan, and found that a prior favorite clan of mine recently brought in a second clan onto their TeamSpeak server - so that means more platooning opportunities again (again, not what the Legion has... and I know that if I was patient I would have been in Revolt clan shortly... but the waiting was agonizing).
