Just to make this announcement formal, I have left FYYFF to go over to What?/OP with Dave. Like Sam, the tournament we were in a couple of weeks ago gave me the inspiration to go try the more competitive side of this game. I'll still be around here, and on TS here and there. Add me to your contacts list if you want. See ya on the battlefield.

That's ok, I've just replaced you with a KLR Rider.
Welcome to the clan TheatyHannington.

KLR riders would be too cheap to actually buy tanks - are you sure he isn't using tinfoil-covered shipping boxes with potato guns?

No, I think he's past tier 1.

Fact: I have spent more money on this game, than I have on my KLR.

4 gigs over the mountain-town network is a lot. I didn't have time to open the program.

Maybe tonight.

It'll be interesting to see what your ping in Salida is like Mike - mine averages between 90 and 120 (which is not great); and we have 30 megs/second.

The server is located in DC.

New tank for you guys and me to test and learn on test servers: T110E4 is in da HOUSE

or... some such hip-hop slang.

Anyway... I decided to keep the T30 if only to both finally train up its last engine just to see what I was missing all this time, and as a power-tank when I'm platooned with guys who are grinding whatever tier 9 they happen to be working on. So the crews were split. I don't have a stellar crew in either tank right now, but truth be told... the E4 will most likely still be used less, except for clan wars, and I am willing to knock the E4 gunner up to 100% immediately by using gold if I get chosen to use it in a clan war battle.

I did it this way to both keep the T30, and to use up a few 100% plus perks USA crew members I had taking up Barracks places. Some were T34 crew, some were Pershing crew, (neither of which which trained to 90% since it was a different class of vehicle).

Too, the T30 has treated me well. Initially I had a losing streak with it (didn't have the largest gun), but at 287 battles (that's far more battles than I thought I ran in it), and 56% win ratio, it doesn't feel like it was that much work even though it was 211,000 XP to research the 110E4. Long, but I didn't make it into a grind. I played the tank for x2 events until I got my win. I guess I could look back to the days when I ground the T28 Prototype in five days to get the T30 to tell me how long I've had it (answer: November 1st, 2012, seems to be the day I bought the T30).

Currently owned tier 10's are now: T110E4, T110E5, IS-4

T110E4 above and below. No money for a rammer and... someone told me to go with coated optics for the E4 instead of binocs. That, too, will take some saving, but in the meantime I can use binocs I guess.

The IS-7 is researched, but I'm not buying one at the moment

Next tank to get to tier ten: T-62A, but the Patton M48 will probably be researched by that point. Yet the M48 is another tier ten tank that I don't see me buying unless a clan leader asks me to get one, or it becomes apparent that they keep getting called for but aren't owned enough.

Hit me up for a training room - I need to learn about the tank as much as some of us need to learn where to shoot it.

I swear, the higher tier you are the more your pub team are f'in morons and the other team is better; OR it's a complete roll of the other team.

The matchmaker needs revision I think.

I do OK on other network games from here, but not stellar. My machine is top of the line 4 years ago, so that's another consideration. A buddy donated his old gaming machine to me sans video card and HD, so I'll be building that up in the next couple weeks and it should be a lot better. The diaper fund is much larger than my tech fund right now.

NYET! Matchmaker work perfectly on Russian server! No change required!

In all seriousness, the only defense I've found to combat the current crop of noobs and baddies is to get a 2 or 3 man platoon going and do the best you can......measuring by efficiency, not win rate. Hopefully things will calm down later this week after they get tired of getting their butts kicked.

287?
You obviously aren't using the same technique as me

81 battles in my T30. 49.38% win. 39.5% survival. and the kicker....563xp average
1329 damage average only.
