Extra-large spall liner: 30%. New type of spall liner for some super heavy tanks (weight over 80-90 tons).
P.S. An important addition to the changes in mechanics!
OOooohhhh....MAUS gettin a spall liner!...lmao

I follow up with all my TD's the T18, T28, SU101 all wins with good payout. Figure I'm on a roll and hop in the uber winnable Stug.

Oh Sure. As I'm finishing up the T25, I pull the trigger and I blow up. The KV1 got me from across the map. I call BS, but it was a decent payout for a tier 5 loss.

12 games in the last 24 hours and my efficiency is at 1562 with a 6.92 average tier.

It was late when I did it, but I'm pretty sure I sold that POS Chaffee and transferred the crew (my best) to my Wolverine for grinding.

Lost money all but twice running it. Without premium I can't afford to really learn how to drive it well enough to do anything special. After looking at my averages I do pretty poorly on lights anyway compared to everything else. Oh well, 300,000 credit mistake.

I kinda like the light tanks, but the high tiers you just can't make any money with them.

One of the reasons I bought the Type 64....that thing has to be the biggest pain in the ass to other tanks out there......well next to arty

I tried to play the Chaffee on my sons account. I realized early on that I shouldn't have light tanks and suck really bad at them. He on the other hand, seems to do pretty good with it.

No matter how bad I want to wiggle around in a light, causing grief to the heavies, I always find a way to screw it up.

Here is a question. i have been grinding through tanks. Completion of unlocking tiers basically. It generally makes no sense to train a crew because as soon as they know what they are doing and get some exp, I sell the tank, buy a new one. If I retrain them, they lose all the exp they had learned. I have just realized, that it makes more sense to just take the penalty and not retrain them. Its 20% off BUT they would keep advancing. Does this make sense or am I not understanding the mechanics of this?

I thought about selling my M4 last night, but had no good reason too.
Maybe I'll buy another garage slot instead.

It makes perfect sense. I struggled with that, too. For tier 2-4 get a crew at 75% and then don't retrain them while you work through the line to tier 5. For an especially long grind like the Lee, you'll want to retrain because they'll end up much higher than they started. My crew went from 75% to 88% in the Lee. For the higher tiers, retraining after the grind doesn't lose you as much since they require more XP to elite. Some vehicles are terrible with bad crews (arty) so you may want to suck it up and just get a new crew. It all depends on what it's worth to you.

For example, I just took a big hit moving a crew with 95% primary and 97-98% first skill from my light line to my TD line (since I've decided to be done with lights for a while). With silver only, they're now at 77% primary and the skills haven't changed. By the time I finish the grind on the tier 5 TD, they'll be at 100% and I can finish out the perks after its elited in a night. Then they'll move to the next level, re-work that 10% primary that's lost fairly quickly and start working on the second skill/perk.

But sometimes you want to hold onto a tank... My Hetzer and Priest are so fun I decided to keep them and add a perk to the crew before I move on (if I move on). For the arty I'm not buying the next one yet because a trained crew makes all the difference. In the German line I just threw a 75% crew in the Stug and I'm shooting away, but not quite as well as in the Hetzer.

Edit- this really only works if you're moving up the lines, like TD or SPG, instead of just finishing all tier 2s, 3s, etc within a nation at once. If you're doing that, it's a recipe for failure.
