8.8 E-50/E-50M mantlet changes

Posted on by Silentstalker 19 Comments ↓
Hello everyone,
a lot of you have noticed, that the E-50/E-50M mantlet model was changed to a well, a more historical one really.
This is how it was in 8.7:

And this is how it will be

Notice that the new mantlet does leave more space uncovered on the lower part of the turret. It has been proved in the test that it makes the turret somewhat more vulnerable.

I really hope they meant it is going to -7.5/+15 because it would suck to have to put the nose in a ditch to shoot level

He got lucky and ammo racked you.
My Object 268 averages around 850 damage per shot. Your T34 has 1500 hit points.

Ammo racking means you hit the tank just right and the tank's ammo explodes. Some tanks it is easier to do than others but it is a pretty lucky shot.

The T34 is awesome if you've developed a lot of skills to play it.

If not, most tier 8 premium tanks are battle-limited to tier 9 matches or below (so tier 8). I've found that my Super Pershing makes the SIlver grind a little less stressful (and a little less profitable - sometimes a lot less profitable if I have to use all 11 Gold rounds that I carry) by only having to battle tier 8's or some tier 9's.

------------

I guess I 'carried' a team tonight in my favorite premium tank. Actually, I carried two or three other teams for just about as much difference in damage compared to the teams' in my tier 8's, but the odds were too much in the OPFOR's favor - especially when our tier 9's did nothing or died early - so I lost those.

3,795 damage in a tier 7... but then they shouldn't allow me to play this tier 7 tank as top tier. The enemy did have a T29, but he's down at the bottom of their XP list.

I can't really read the numbers, but I hope you don't have that much Silver saved up and the crew at what seems to be 68% when you could easily get them up to at least 75% just by paying for it. Again, I can't see your crews' actual numbers... they could be at 86% for all I can tell.

Damn, a closer look - made me go blind. I really can't tell, lol.

I can (now), but it's a bit huge for the fourm, lol.

It's clear, for sure, but there are ways of making the screen-shot smaller and not degrading the picture as bad as your previous try. Hey, keep on trying.

MS Paint should be able to do it, or download the free Paint.net program for a serious ( and free) editing tool.

Truthfully, my screen shots aren't edited for size - I just use MS Paint to crop them (new computer build, haven't installed Paint.net yet), and upload them for the 17" monitor size (a drop-down box choice that has to be made) with imageshack.us http://imageshack.us/ . I don't know about everyone else's computers and he they look, but here at mine the way I'm doing it seems to size them just right without exploding the entire forums side-scroll-bar over.

Anyway - yeah - do yourself a favor and at least use Silver to train crews up to 75% for that high of a tier tank (Gold would get you to 100% for each crew member, but that gets expensive to keep doing - if I do anyone with the Gold it is the gunner to get him to 100%, and only for higher tiers... if I do two with gold (very rare) it is the gunner and the commander).

Retraining a crew for the next tier higher tank can be trained to 90% with just Silver (if the tank is the same size - medium to medium, etc.), or to 80% if the size changes.

Just to make sure you know Dom... Right now there is a $300,000 bonus when you kill your 30th tank in one day.

The Wolverine does not make that kind of coin (no tank does)

Well, that's what I figured it was too. But it says if I didn't have premium, then I would of only gotten 200k something...

Hmm?

Well (Lobster) it took 4.5 hours and a lot of losses as a platoon to do it, but

Also, I have never had this much spotting damage, much less with an IS3
