Why the heck do some tanks make so little payout in experience and coin?

A decent round (multiple kills, 1500+ dmg) for me in my Hellcat or Wolverine is 1200xp & 35-45k.

A FANTASTIC round (3 kills, 2500 dmg) in my Y28 Proto? 20k coin and 700xp.

W.T.F? This payout system makes no sense to me. At this point, its more worth it to me to just duke it out in my T5 & 6's and convert the experience with gold to travel up my American TD line :/

They've always been honest, since I started playing near the beginning of this thread, that they want to get people mostly focused at mid-tier. Yes, the big tanks are fun, but if that's where all the money is, they'll lose the people on the way there. It's a bad business model, and it keep the game uninteresting until you've bought or ground your way to the top.

If the payout is in the middle, it's achievable to the average player, and the elites can go have their fun at high tier, the stupid will chase high tier just to have it thinking it will pay, but the game is rigged for 4-7, imho, and always has been.

I agree completely, Smithy. 4-7 is where the fun is at for me, as an average player. As my skills slowly improve, I find tier 8 to be much fun as well: my T32, Pershing, and AMX 13 90 can be a blast.

News for today:

Quote:
- SerB confirms that E-50 has the worst camo factor of all T9 meds
- its possible module repair time display will be implemented when dynamic tank stats in garage are added
- its possible company battles will get fog of war, but random battles definitely not
- its too early to tell how well is T-34-3 doing statistically
- ingame Lowe is, according to Storm, based on W1662 Lowe variant from Panzer Tracts
I wonder how this Fog of War is going to work out in Company Battles, especially 7/42?

I've been having a lot of fun playing the T14 lately. It's slow (but faster than a Matilda ), the gun is weaker than I'd hoped for, but it's reasonably accurate and well-armored.

I watched BigBird solo twin KV1Ss in his T14. Something like 3600 potential. He killed them both.

Ditto - I love my tier 10's
But when I want to PLAY and have FUN and not work at having to be GOOD and EFFICIENT

Tier 5-6-7 If I lose, I don't lose much money if I win I do OK - but the point is win or lose - I go away having had fun and not mad.

This took me a LONG time to realize tier 10 is not the end-all-be-all for the game.

I've been happy at tier 5-6. The couple times I tried tier 7 I didn't have the skills or attitude for it.
Sometimes I think I'm getting better and should try another tier 7.
I'm not using a premium account either, I did read that that makes a difference at tier 7.

Yes there about tier 7 a premium account does not necessarily make it easier but the +50% exp and +50% cash can make up for stupid human tricks we all make taking a loss of cash a small positive inflow and the exp boost quickens the grind.

One of there days I intend to let my premium run out and just try my tier 7 and 8 premium tanks just to see if it is do-able.
I assume the lower tier premium vehicles DO allow you to make cash and decent training for a crew with out a premium account.

But I have a friend that just stopped playing higher tiers and 5 is where he's been for 9 months now and if that is where someone finds fun - who are the rest of us to tut-tut them.

It's their game, their time and their fun.

I just let my premium account lapse this morning.

I'm going to hold off a bit from buying gold for premium again just to stick it to War Gaming.

They're not going to have my $15, or $60 for some gold package

...

for like a day or two.

At my last count, 30% of my tanks are tier 5. Love the tier. 16% are tier 8s because that's where I am in most of my grinds.

I'll go weeks without playing a tier other than 5.

I think I am in love!

Notice, this is not a x2 match, and it is not atypical from the games I've had so far. This thing is an XP machine. Costly to die in though. I find if I die, I lose money. I didn't fire gold in this match, and ended up with like 11 HP. You can see that an almost full repair, and 25 rounds cost about 21000 credits
