Just got back from riding on the weekend. Rode 800km in 2 days and had a blast. Just sorting through my pictures and here are a few.

Riding in the Fraser Canyon to start.

This was as far as I got last weekend when my clutch cable broke and lots of snow. About 3 feet of snow melted in a week I'm happy to say when I got there.

This weekend

Baja

What a fantastic report! Thanks for your time!. I was planning to go down to Baja on my 1200RT but now I think I will save some mullah and buy me a dual sport and go down there on the dual sport instead and follow in your footsteps. Your adventure down south was great.
I saw you got stills off your video cam? Those are some decent stills off that cam. Is that a Vstrom your friend Mike was riding ? How would you compare the Vstrom to the KLR? Would you feel comfortable riding a Vstrom down to Baja and exploring the sites as you did with the KLR? One more question, on your HDR shots, are you using a tripod? Thanks again for sharing, you are an inspiration!

Thanks and your going to have a fun adventure in Baja. I'm looking forward to getting on that Ferry in La Paz next time and venture as far as the money lasts. If you want to save money then get a KLR. I like the new bikes and will get one once the KLR has run her time but for now I couldn't imagine riding another bike.....It's so reliable. I just put some Ricor Intiminators in the front forks and it corners so nice and loves the bumps now. I have fixed the bike up just the way I like it and love riding it. In Baja I rode Donns super nice BMW F800 and all I could think about was getting back on my bike and I'm sure he was thinking the same thing. It"s funny how we get so attached to our bikes. I like this model KLR because it's better off/road then the new ones and that's what I enjoy being up in the mtns. I have to admit that after riding Donns F800 that's on the top of the list for my next bike I have a video of that ride I should put up.

Mike has a very cool bike but I have never rode one so I can't give you any advice but his name on ADV is "teamgrizzly" and I'm sure he could tell you a lot about the bike plus he has been to Baja too on his bike. I know the Vstrom is better on the hwy than a KLR. I change my sprokets from hwy to dirt depending on where I'm going.

I have a few tripods that I never use...........I just try hard to hold my breath and be still.

Cheers

Riding video from where I left off last weekend and in this section I found myself riding slow because of all the great views that can't be captured in a few minute video.

I could go on......but you get the picture lots of turns

If you look hard on the roof of this house are lots of Deer antlers.

Stopped to grab a drink before heading off because it warmed up to about 27c and very dry.

A change in climate.

Riding Donn's perfect F800 in Baja. It felt like riding a street bike it was so smooth. I got nervous for a second when the Ferderales stopped in front of us....but I noticed they had seen our ADV stickers and were scared away.Saved again by the ADV forum.
