Don't know what it was. It was pretty generic but did a killer job. Sorry mate :(

Today I bought this 86 K75. It runs perfectly, surprised how much power it has. The aluminum needs polished and the paint has a few chips. I will slap a historic plate on it tomorrow and ride it some more.

A buddy of mine recently bought an 89 K100RS...
500.00!!!

Put a battery in it, and fiddled with it a bit. It would turn over but not start. Turned out the fuel pump was bad- he ordered one and installed it- Sent me a text saying how much he loved the bike!

Another pic after cleaning it up a bit. Did 100 miles today and was surprised at how quick it is.

Last month, I had a very sweet 1400 miles on my 88 K100, from PA to the mountains in NC/TN/NC//VA, and back. Some of the highlights were a section of The Back Of The Dragon, above Marion VA, parts of The Snake around Shady Valley TN, and sections of the BRP and Skyline Drive.

As you can see, you do not want Duck living anywhere near you... he tends to suck up all older Ks for miles around him

Bah, there is no geographic defense from my K bike OCD. I've bought K bikes from North Carolina, Arizona, Idaho, Montana and quite a few from California. It's a great excuse for a ride.

Hi all, I bought a 95 K75RT from a guy in Iowa for 4 grand in the fall of 2003. It had 24000 miles when I picked it up. It replace a 93 R100RT I had. Sold the R100 to a guy in Calf. I Rode the K75 all fall winter and spring and loved it. In the summer of 2004 I discovered that it really cooked me. So I would ride my 82 Yamaha 650 Seca which I replaced with a 2009 KLR. Thought about selling the K75 but can't part with it. My question is it worth taking off the lowers and does it help with the friggin heat. I'll post pic's when I replace my camera or when I get a new smart phone. gh

Yes, taking the lowers off of a K75RT should make it a lot cooler on your legs.
