60

Been riding since I was 12 but took off for 20 years while raising kids. I just bought my first sidecar in late December. Have presently 5 bikes that are my favorites in every type of riding I enjoy but did recently sell my KTM and Husaberg dirt bikes in honor of my 60th birthday mainly because things just don't heal like they used to and I really suck on dirt.

Hey, we're going to have to swap stories some time! I took the adventure riding class and found out it's hard to fall over on a hack. Goodbye Dakar, hello airhead! We'll both save money on doctor expenses.

Started on a Sears(Puch) moped when I was 15. Several bikes as years went along. Just turned 68 2 months ago.

Dabbled, i.e. needed to maintain an essentially non horizontal position on winter roads, from 23 years of age.
First outfit, i.e. main transport, at 26 years.
Outfits ever since, 6 in total to date.
66 on March 9th. Dropped this in just in case there's any contributions.

Just think of all the boot leather I've saved by not having to put my feet down !

I'm 37

But I switch back to 2 wheels all the time...usually when turning right!

I am 45, and have had a hack since May. I love having it but I'll be honest and say that I do not love riding it even after putting 3000 miles on it. That might change after I save up enough to get a fancy sidecar from Claude and put in on my 1100GS. But I don't think I'll ever get to the point where I will like it enough to pull it out of my garage for a joyride instead of one of my two wheelers. For me it's mainly about minimizing the need to drive my car - winter riding, taking my daughter for a ride, grocery shopping, riding on frozen dirt roads, etc...

30 here, and the better half is 28. Technically it is her sidecar, but I don't let her ride it too much.

How old is the average Sidecarist?

Started riding a Honda 50 when I was 17. I'm turning 68 in May and still riding!

They say you're only as old as you feel, so that makes me about 79.

But I'm only 60--what's up with that?

I'm about to turn 60..... But feel like I'm 45 (at least till I try to do something strenuous )

Been riding since I was 14. Lots of BMW's over the last 10 years. Two years ago I bought a Harley and a Goldwing Hack. Sold the Harley, enjoying the hack every week.

I'm looking to buy or put together a BMW GS hack rig now. I see hacks keeping me riding long past where I may become uncomfortable on 2 wheels.
